particularly in the North American continent this has been the 332nd consecutive warmest month
so much for twinks
But clearly there's no such thing as climate change...
I know global warming just means the weather patterns are becoming erratic, not necessarily that we'll always have warm winters. But last winter was warm and it was nice, hope we get another one this year.
The problem with warm winters are many... including insects surviving and becoming a plague the following summer... and the lack of snowpack leading to lack of fresh water in the spring and summer.
The two winters preceding the warm winter were some of the worst and coldest in memory, here in the Midwest. Both in '09 and '10, it snowed around Christmas and the snow-cover didn't melt for 3 months, continuing to accumulate. And it was bitterly cold the whole time too, just awful. And then came such a nice mild winter. Sorry, but I wouldn't mind another one this year. So far it's been a mild fall.
