Cute = on your way to handsome or hot
Hot: Exudes sex. Generally a great body is involved. Example: Brad Pitt in Thelma and Louise.
Handsome: Classic features. May or may or not exude sex, more about the face than the body. Examples: Cary Grant, Denzel, Clooney in anything.
Cute: A certain charm, may or may not have handsome features, may or may not have a great body, but not unattractive. Often has that "something" special, which means: They aren't handsome or hot, but I'd still bend them over. Examples: Most adult actors who play teens on television dramas.
