Who manages your finances?

Do you use a financial adviser? Does someone manage your 401k plan for you? Describe.

• I do my own. I read (articles, Intenet) and use common sense. I do no worse than a paid advisor. Sad but true.

• I pay an advisor at Ameriprise, who has done a decent job over the years. I cannot be bothered to track and do homework on my own returns. The system is rigged against the individual investor.

• I do it myself. Research and don't make too many large changes. My personal YTD return stands at 21%.

• I have a financial adviser who also does my taxes. For my 401k I let the plan pick. I don't have time.
