• I never understood the PR that claimed this girl to be the best kid actress since Jodie Foster. She was fine enough in those earlier roles. Fine, but nothing spectacular. I've always found her plain and stiff. She was at her best in Mean Girls, but that best is still about fifty paces behind Emma Stone in just about anything.

• Guys this is just a trailer, trailers are often misleading. In addition, the director of 'The Canyons' Paul Schrader is an accomplished director (he has directed the ''Taxi Driver'' among many movies) and screenwriter. He wouldn't trust Lindsay Lohan if he didn't see something in her beyond her looks. I agree, the trailer was not good but i find the plot very interesting. Maybe it is a very good movie, maybe it is not. We'll find that out after the release of ''The Canyons''.

• R16, Schrader wrote "Taxi driver" - Martin Scorsese directed it. Otherwise, Schrader is an interesting director but his output has been pretty uneven.

• God, you are right. Maybe i made that glaring error because i have a headache and a cold...I really knew that Scorsese has directed ''The Taxi Driver'' but this time it escaped me. That was creepy. Hmm... I agree, the trailer was pretty trashy, but the story maybe has something to say. I also believe that Lohan is not such a bad actress as a lot of people believe and say. However, i must confess that when i learned that she would play ELIZABETH TAYLOR and when i saw some of the material given out to press for that movie i got annoyed. Lindsay hasn't the maturity, the intensity and the deepness of the violet eyes of Liz Taylor. I don't think that anyone really can take that performance of Lohan seriously and they are right. It's just campy pleasure as some others stated before. Elizabeth Taylor would laugh with Lindsay. On the other hand, in my opinion, Lindsay Lohan has been a good actress in some of her movies and she should get her craft more seriously and improve herself. As i stated in another thread, she has potential and she just have to stop overexposing herself and being so godamn reckless with her choices.

• Agreed r6, part of the job of being a tv interviewer is occasionally doing research on someone who eventually cancels the interview. Accepting that is part of Barbara's job, and she's amply rewarded for her job, she has a $150,000,000 fortune. I hate filthy rich people who whine that their job sometimes entails doing things they don't want to do. That's true of every job, and if you're being paid millions, STFU about it.

• I have to side with Barbara on this one. They had already taped footage. The interview was to complete a whole segment that they had already wasted time and money to start. Lindsay's PR people gave the excuse that she's too tired or sick to do any interviews, but then she's booked to do Jay Leno. This unprofessionalism is why Lindsay's name is basically mud in the industry. Barbara went a little overboard in her reaction, but she had a right to be pissed. All this crap over some D list actress. And what's with Lindsay? Between endorsing Romney and now Leno, she's gotten Freeperish lately.
