Please recommend a totally mindless, hilarious juicy movie
Burning Palms, esp. This Little Piggy and Buyer's Remorse.
Death Becomes her
I just watched Longhorns on Netflix - wow - funny and how they ever got in on there I'll never know. Super sexy and good acting.
Happy Face, a stoner movie unusual for having a female star.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
School of Rock
Jumping Jack Flash
Harper Valley PTA
Correction, the title is actually Smiley Face. Anyone else see it? It's not brilliant but I usually don't like pothead movies and this one I did.
The Lady Eve
The Hangover, but be sure to watch the end credits
And yes, Death Becomes Her
How to Marry a Millionaire[/italic]

Same. So, so stupid, but it doesn't aim for more than that. Anna Faris is really difficult not to like, what with her range of facial expressions.
Dude, Where's My Car.
or Bubble Boy.
The Zero Effect
Everyone I've loaned this movie to has liked it. It does have DL fave whatshisname - Zoolander in it. The role calls for a good amount of whining and complaining. Unsurprisingly, it suits him.
A rich man loses his keys. The world's greatest detective (Bill Pullman) and his lawyer/representative (Zoolander) are hired to find them. Mystery, sex, drugs and amusement ensue.
Wet Hot American Summer.
Whats up Doc.
Madhouse with Kirstie Alley and John Laroquette. Cheerfully crude, with some lame jokes but so entertaining.
"Wild Things' owns this thread
Jeckyll and Hyde Together Again
Better Off Dead
The Owl and the Pussycat ("Who gave you permission to read my underwear!")
[italic] Daddy's Dyin' ... Who's Got the Will?[/italic]
La Cage aux Folles
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941)
The Twelve Chairs
Down and Out in Beverly Hills
The Hollywood Knights
Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. Very mindless and very funny.
another thumbs up for What's Up Doc
Girls Will be Girls
The Gang's All Here (featuring the song, "You Can't Pooh-Pooh Paducah")
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown
Another vote for Soapdish.
The Money Pit
The Money Pit reminded me of its classic original, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.
Yes, Money Pit is obviously inspired by Mr. Blandings. But both are absolutely worth watching.
"Hairspray", either version.
"South Park, Bigger Longer and Uncut"
The Sweetest Thing
The obscene phone call (my favorite scene) is at the link.
KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE.
DARK SHADOWS with John Depp
I AM CUROUS YELLOW
I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE
"Dangerous Liaisons": a ridiculous, hysterically funny satire about a "Helen Lawson"-style, aged, deformed, insane woman who imagines she is the star of her own soap opera.
God, I thought I was the only person in the world who liked Dr. Detroit. It is so stupid and so good.
Jumpin' Jack Flash
What's Up, Doc?
Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead
Withnail & I
The Tall Guy
[italic]Airplane[/italic] and [italic]Airplane 2[/italic]. The gold standard(s).
Any John Waters movie, including the underappreciated [italic]Polyester[/italic].
I like Three Stooges movies, but they're not everyone's cup of tea.
[italic]The Thin Man[/italic]. And see if you can keep up with all the boozing.
[italic]The Philadelphia Story[/italic]
Bengali in Platforms
I second Death Becomes Her. Hysterical. Esp. the final scene. It's also the movie where I realized Bruce Willis can act.
The Hot Rock
Who's Minding the Mint?
Goldie Hawn's filmography is fun.
Flirting With Disaster.
The original "Producers" with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder ("white, white, white is the color of our carpet", "Hello, I am Carmen Ghia", "I'M THE CUNTSYURGE", "DOITY, FILTHY, STINKING BOIDS") or "Dick" if you want the real dope on Watergate and who Deep Throat really was.
Well if you're doing Neil Simon we have to include "Young Frankenstein."
Neil Simon did Young Frankenstein?
Mel Brooks--but you knew that.
Make Mine Mink
Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion
Waiting for Guffman
Best in Show
After "The Producers":
"Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels"
"The Odd Couple"
"The Full Monty"
Death At A Funeral (British Version)
Can't Hardly Wait
Fun, hilarious, solid soundtrack, twink eye candy to boot (Ethan Embry, Peter Facinelli, Jerry O'Connell)
