Ok, but we're claiming Elmo as playing on our team!
Good. What a shithead ex-boyfriend.
Too bad the innocent Elmo guy had to have his name dragged through the mud.
Yeah, exactly what we want. A gay guy who works on a children's show with a taste for the barely legal. Should help to turn a lot of opinions around.
His having gone to Sesame Street headquarters with his situation and not the Sheriff's Department or something made me think he was trying to con his former boyfriend all along.
He was paid off, whether he was lying or not to begin with. So, paid off, not necessarily because Elmo was guilty of having sex with him when he was underage, but simply to stem the media coverage and prevent damage to the Sesame Street brand.
What's wrong with dating a legal 18yr old? Heterosexual men do it all the time. Our culture frequently sexualizes girls 18 and younger for heterosexual men.
Agree r5. Going to the company and not the police indicates to me that it was a shakedown.
Kevin Clash married a woman, had at least one child, and divorced. He is bi.
Oh, the joys that my Vibrator Elmo gave me before I knew what that special tickle meant....
[quote]Kevin Clash married a woman, had at least one child, and divorced. He is bi.
Clash refers to himself as gay.
I knew it had to be a revenge thing even if true. A 16 yr old is old enough to consent as far as I'm concerned, it's ridiculous to claim to be a victim years later unless you really were raped.
He is not old enough to consent by law in NY r12, period.
You don't like it, change the law.
Good luck with that.
It has been a week for bizarre sex scandals all right.
I am not sure what is motivating the Kevin Clash Is Bi troll, my new favorite weirdo DL personality, but surely an actual bisexual would realize that claiming a professional puppeteer (red flag #1) on a kids' show (red flag #2) with a taste for the young'uns (etc.) is not exactly going to shatter any nasty bi stereotypes.
Fuck off, r4. What a vile thing to say.
Ummm, R16, it was a perfectly reasonable response to what R1 said. How is that "vile"?
