Phil Spector's "A Christmas Gift For You"
I play this album more than 500 times a year, starting in June.
- Like a gun pointed at your heart, I hope. God, I love my fans.

- Saw Ronnie in concert in a December show that practically played all those Christmas songs she sang from that album. It was magic!
- I make it a point to watch Darlene Love every holiday season when she sings Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) on Letterman. She gets better with age.
- Ditto everything R3 said.
- My favorite Christmas album, great for parties. I made an iPod mix of Christmas oldies centered around this album.
- It's not really Christmas 'til Darlene Love sings it on Letterman...

ACGFY is one of my holiday faves, too! But, "James Brown's Funky Christmas" is the ULTIMATE!
- I hope I say this right. I've always felt that even though he's credited with writing all the songs, and producing them, I always thought of The Ronettes, The Crystals, certainly The Righteous Brothers, were the true artists.
Not to putdown Spector, but you can theorize all you want, if the artists can't bring it to life.
I'll never forgive him for beating Ronnie Spector. What's love got to do with it
- Looks like Annie Golden sings backup for Darlene Love on Letterman. I am looking forward to what they do with it this year.

- THis album makes me start raping people
- Um, ok.
- Spector is a cheapskate who gypped his artists and he is in jail now, but he is a genius. "Marshmellow World" -

- Paul Shaffer is annoying.
- I bought the cd based on this thread and love it. I also bought Herb Alpert's Christmas Album. "The Bell That Couldn't Jingle" always reminds me of Price Leatherbarrow.
