Gio Benitez, an "award winning" reporter at CBS-owned WFOR-4 in Miami will join ABC News as a New York-based correspondent in early 2013.
We know this because ABC News issued a press release. And also because Benitez's personal website, "Gio Benitez Journalist," tells us so. His web includes a photo of Benitez, muscled arms crossed, looking out over the Miami skyline, skeptically.
Turns out, Benitez is something of a news pioneer. He came to ABC's attention in 2009 "when he not only reported on the release of Apple’s iPhone but shot his entire story with the new device." And there you have it.
This thread has me moist as a snack cake down there in anticipation.
Ugh. I cant stand this bitch! Now I wont be able to stalk his life in South Florida.
I wonder how David Muir is taking this news, now that another diva will be in the house. I foresee a lot of hate fucks in the janitorial closet.
He has the best arms in journalism. They will crack your ass in half.
When Gio arrives in New York, Sam and Rubem should let him stay with them. Hotels are so expensive.
He'll fit right in with all the other queers at ABC - Champion, Muir, Kloeffler, Roberts, Sawyer, Stephanopolous, Elliott, Moran, Miguel Marquez, Jeffrey Kofman, John Schrifin, Steve Osunsami, John Hendren, and Ryan Owens - and pin-up Matt Gutman...
Gio caught my attention a few days ago, while channel surfing here in So FLA. Great smile, way too handsome for a STR8T guy. Congrats to all you new yorkers.
I think he's gay. That is my conclusion after looking at a few videos online. He did a story about a gay couple a few months back.
And he made of point of tweeting about Coop's coming out announcement.
