I had older parents, and while I would not have traded either one of them for the world, I am an orphan at 40 while most of my friends aren't even thinking of their parents aging and dying. I took care of my elderly mother in my mid-thirties and held her hand while she died. Miss her everyday. I wouldn't wish that on anyone else, regardless of how much money they have. Money does not replace love. Oh that it would, lots of people would be much happier.
