I have always found Karnacki more likable than Chris Hayes. Hayes is a younger, better looking version of Chris Mathews. He sputters and rages and talks over his guests. A very poor listener. Why does he bother to have anyone else on his show? He could just talk to the audience like Maddow does. Steve is looking pretty good lately. Too bad he's been exiled to Sunday mornings on MSNBC.

I agree with R20. I liked Chris Hayes on the weekend morning show. He would engage his guests in discussions about policy. Steve seems like a nice guy, but he looks at every issue through the lens of politics which is not nearly as interesting to me.

I dunno, I find that Kornacki doesn't really say anything insightful, but repeats stuff I already knew.

Problem with Chris Hayes was though that he always had the answers to his questions already. His guests were usually just welcome to agree with him. Didn't make a good debate.

That coming out story - or *not* coming out story - at r11 was depressing. I like SK on MSNBC, and thought he pinged, but I didn't know he was gay until I read this thread tonight. It's sad and a little annoying to me. Like many others if my age (almost two decades older than SK), I was out and something of an activist about it from the time I was 17. The whole idea was to take the heat and change people's minds and make it easier for the next generation. Yet it seems it didn't that effect. Surrounded by people who would have been supportive, preceded by people who opened eyes and doors, he was still a frightened little kid who couldn't be honest about his most basic truths. I recognize that everyone's path is different, and I wish him well... but I now respect him less as a journalist, given that he's admittedly so willing to bow before demons and monsters rather than stand for honesty and justice.

Steve Kornacki seems very crypto-Republican to me. He seems drawn to right wing meme-non stories that take up time, and look poorly upon the President. There's this thing where he always seems to throw in those "Qell, lots of people think the earth is flat, to" comments.

I have grown to love Chris Hayes. He gets all excited about things, and cares about actual news stories.

Steve is still pretty young, and not all that experienced. He buys into some of the false equivalency that the rightwing spews, and it is irritating when you just want to say to him, "No, there is no equivalency there; the right is just plain nuts, and the left won't challenge them."

I'm going to watch this Saturday morning to see if he tries to debunk some of the Pubbies' bullshit stories on Obamacare and the whiners that are bitching about losing their policy and having to buy "a million times more expensive policy! It's not fair, and Obamacare should be repealed." Especially now that story after story has been proven false, and in fact, the participants on one of Hannity's laugh-ins were all shown to either so distort their position or completely understand their benefit that it was farcical.

R25, don't be so hard on yourself. At the ripe old age of 32, I'm still not completely out of the closet...even though Don't Ask, Don't Tell was repealed over 2 years ago! When I was your age I was similar in that I held on to the belief that I was bi. Now, I'm confident that I'm gay; however, I've had a tough time living openly since I tend to associate primarily with straight guys (fortunately, my best military buddy now knows that I'm gay and he's been nothing but supportive).

You have to come out on your own timeline. True, doing so will make it easier on those who follow you, but I'd say you're okay as long as you're not making up non-existent girlfriends...or laying it on thick when expressing interest in attractive women. That's one thing I don't do...which at least gives people the opportunity to read between the lines.

In one short interview he said "I think..." nine times, once he even said, "I think, I think..." then everyone else on the panel started saying "I think..." multiple times. Saying "I think..." is rather pointless, if you are saying it, of course you think it.
