iPad Mini--Why?

Saw one today. Too large to be truly portable, especially when you also have to carry a separate phone. Too small compared to the original. Is this going to sell? To whom?

• Sold 3 million last weekend. OP your question is stupid. The iPad mini is targeted at the Kindle/Samsung tablet markets which have been great sellers.

• Does one use an iPad Maxi on heavier flow days?

• I get the argument that it's both too big (compared to a phone) and too small (compared to a regular iPad), and I'm sure many, many people won't buy one for that reason. But, for MANY people, cost is still a huge issue. If they can save $250 and still have an iPad, especially if they are just using it for bullshit like Facebook, checking email, and surfing the internet, I totally understand why they'd buy the mini.
