Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has barely gotten started, but we’ve already learned two of our favorite stars — Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss — are already at odds in a big, big way. In fact, one show insider exclusively tells Wetpaint Entertainment the former close pals and song collaborators haven’t talked to each other in ages.
And it’s more than just busy schedules keeping them apart. Apparently, there’s a specific reason.
As viewers of the premiere will recall, in the first show of the season Kandi specifically mentioned that she and boyfriend Todd had plans for a baby. They even had a name picked out: Kash.
According to the insider, all of Kandi’s friends — Kim included — knew that was the name she and Todd planned to use. Cut to two months later when Kim gives birth to her second child with hubby Kroy Biermann … a son they named Kash, too!
“Let’s put it this way,” the insider tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “Kim naming her child Kash was not something Kandi had been expecting. When she found out … it caused problems.”
And even though Kim has stated her inspiration for the name was Jessica Alba’s husband, whose name is Cash, Kandi doesn’t seem to be buying it.
Notes the insider: “If she had plans all along to name the baby Kash, Kandi knew nothing about it.”
“Things are strained between them now, no doubt,” the insider concludes. “I don’t think they’ve spoken in a few months.”

One of the things I find annoying is when the characters talk like they aren't part of a TV show as though they can fake out the audience that they aren't aware they are on camera.
An example of that (sort of) was on the new episode when Candi (was it Candi? I'm having a brain freeze) was telling Porscha about the trip to Anguilla and inviting her to go with. Porscha asked who else is going and Candi tells her there will be a few of her friends that Porscha hasn't met yet.
That's how the conversation might happen if these people weren't all on a TV show. But since Porscha agreed to be a cast member on an existing program, Candi should have said that it would be all the girls in the cast of the show they are working on. The girl is dumb, but it's not like she agreed to join the cast without knowing who the girls are that are already on the show.
Sometimes the insincerity is annoying to me.

I dont think so r224. Judging from the vloggers, black blogs and record breaking ratings, everyone is pretty grateful that Kenya has livened up this franchise of housewives, even if its fake. RHOA was boring as hell last season until everyone decided to take out their knives at the reunion. The show would not survive another season of that.
And Walter spilling the tea is not Kenya's fault anyway. I bet the producers will make her very likable next season when she takes Nene's place. I think Nene is definitely moving on.
