Who the Hell is voting for this huge bag of crazy and her first Lady?

- OP, there's a reason why the writers of The Golden Girls set St. Olaf in Minnesota.
- A state of angry birds.
- Oh, well. If it's any consolation, she didn't win by a landslide. Maybe it's an indication that the stupid is dying off in her district.
- She barely held on this time.
Jim Graves deserves a lot of credit for nearly taking her down.
- The Republican party is a huge bag of crazy and they vote for their own kind.
- Marcus "Ladybird" Bachmann had been clutching her pearls so tightly tonight it looks like she had a tracheotomy!!
- Gerrymandered disrict. Heavily Republican. What may be encouraging is that she barely got by there. That district would have needed to absolutely despise her to the point of flipping her out for good like Colorado #04 did with Marilyn Musgrave in 2008. (This isn't the first tight election for Bachmann. And before Musgrave was unseated, she too had near brushes with political death.)
- How could they vote against anti-gay measure but vote for someone who wants to send gays to concentration camps at same time?
- R8 - what part of statewide votes vs her district votes don't you understand?
- R8, even liberal states like Minnesota have individual enclaves that are conservative.
- Hope she peed her panties.
- [quote] Gerrymandered disrict.
Yup. They've made it almost impossible for us to get rid of her -- but we came close.
Keep up the crazy, Michele, and whatever you do, don't stop talking!
- Some parts of Minnesota like Lady Gaga, other parts like Reba McEntire. So goes the USA.
- How could they not be pissed about Bachmann abandoning her district and instead go on a fruitless presidential nominee promo tour?
I wonder how many virgins, sheep, and babies did she have to sacrifice to win? Either that or some serious voter fraud had a play in her winning.
- I think she will watch herself more closely and not do as many foolish publicity stunts and ridiculous Presidential runs in the future.
She was vulnerable and the Democrats knew the margin would be close and that they had a shot at beating her. That's why even Bill Clinton himself came to Minnesota to campaign for Jim Graves over the weekend, and it almost was successful.
- If she had the intelligence to know to control her own actions, she would not have those opinions in the first place. She doesn't understand the difference.

Unfortunately, I agree.
She's dangerous and crazy but not a complete idiot. She's going to tone it way, way down now that she can feel which way the wind is blowing, even in her gerrymandered district.
