They're both insufferable. The only difference is The Talk has Aisha Tyler. I loved when she did The Soup.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 2, 2012 2:08 PM |
The Talk is more fun. The bitches on the View seem like grouches. I would love a special View/Talk collaboration though. Could you imagine all 10 of these women forced to be at the same table and talk about topics/issues? If I were in charge of television this would happen. You know there would be some major fun fighting.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 2, 2012 5:26 PM |
I've seen a few episodes of The Talk when the television has been on and it's far far worse than The View. Sheryl Underwood (I think that's her name) comes across as a horned up nympho most of the time. Aisha has said borderline (and not so borderline) jokes on a few occasions. Sharon Osbourne, and some of the others, had made lots of anti-men statements. (Mention any topic of a guy getting abuse of any kind and the audience hoots and hollers.). The only one who comes across with any semblance of intelligence is Sara Gilbert.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 2, 2012 5:36 PM |
Yes but Sara Gilbert is FUG

Sheryl Underwood Interview with Jet Magazine
Her feelings on the 2012 election:
âIâm rooting for President Obama to win. We have to support him. We need to join forces and do what we did in 2008âwe made history. Now we need to flex our power to let them know we want to keep him in for the things that we believe in.â
Why she says âyesâ to Obama:
âHe has done more with less. Heâs done everything we want our President to do and things are getting better. They may not be getting better fast enough, but look at what he was up against. Iâm not saying heâs done everything perfect; Iâm still a Republican. But Iâm a Jackie Robinson, Mr. John H. Johnson kind of Republican.â
Why she says ânoâ to Romney:
âI support Romney as a businessman, but I believe Obama is a better leader for our country. Maybe he should give his resume to Obama to be in the commerce department. And Ryan is an unusual individual. What theyâre talking about is great, but as far as you being President? Not today.â

R7 oh hi it's the resident datalounge stormfront member.
I love Aisha Tyler. She is not homophobic at all and I"m surprised anyone here thinks so. She's a comic...all of them make gay jokes. She's not Adam Carolla the cunt.
I prefer the Talk to the View but I watch both ONLY for guests I like. On other days, I couldn't be bothered.

Sharon Osbourne is such a dick.

The Talk is now within striking distance of dethroning the View as the Number one network panel show.
They currently tie the View in the demos for women.

I know this is bad, but up until last week I thought Sheryl Underwood was the comedienne Loni Love. I happened to catch the beginning of The Talk and when I saw the name Sheryl Underwood, I was like, "Fuck! I've been thinking that was Loni Love!"

Isn't her name Mother Love

The women on the view are less pleasant. They always talk over one another, and get bitchy quickly.

r31, by "non-black" you mean honest and not basing allegiance on racial resentments, right?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 15, 2013 6:53 PM |
More fun then the view? Well the bench mark is really low, not sure that's a bragging point.
The Talk is boring and awkward. Guess it reflects its creator.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 15, 2013 7:13 PM |
It's a pleasant way to spend an hour. Beats the game shows and redundant soap plots. It's more gossipy than The View and they have great give-a-ways. Sarah doesn't contribute much to the discussions. I think she's there to act as a deterrent to the bitchiness that goes on at the other show. Holly was a good fit for the show but Leah always made everything about her and they both tended to gang up on Sarah for her conservative views and hippy dippy lifestyle. Leah blames Sharon Osbourne for getting them canned but it was the daily abuse of Sarah and her general cuntiness that did HER in.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 15, 2013 7:25 PM |
I could've written r3 4 months ago, I'm not sure, but I agree with it anyway. I'm surprised anyone thinks Aisha is homophobic, I remember her as being such a breath of fresh air on Talk Soup, after Hal Sparks who was extremely homophobic. I hated Sparks so much I'd fantasize about beating the crap out of him.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 15, 2013 7:35 PM |
Julie is so boring.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 15, 2013 9:49 PM |
They never even gave them a proper sendoff. It was so classless. I thought Sara was a nicer person than that.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 15, 2013 10:03 PM |
That's interesting that so many think Aisha and Hal Sparks are homophobes considering they were (are?) weekly guests of an alleged liberal lesbian's radio show (Stephani Miller). Though Miller always seemed very self-loathing so maybe they are homophobes dressed in ironic bigot's clothing.

by Anonymous | reply 44 | March 18, 2013 2:43 AM |
Any show with that disgusting MORON Elizabeth Hassleback should be cancelled. The Talk is way better. Sharon is hilarious. Sarah is the sensible, sweet one. And I don't mind Julie or Aisha. I really do wish that they would get rid of Sheryl though. She never takes anything seriously, and often rudely interrupts someone else who is making a serious point. Get rid of Sheryl!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 21, 2013 11:49 PM |
Don't let the Chenbot fool you. The Talk isn't ALL drama-free. Before this latest incarnation of The Talk, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini were the other hosts. I liked it a bit better back then, but apparently Chen didn't--hence the drama.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 21, 2013 11:54 PM |
Was annoyed when they fired Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete but the show has improved and they are not missed. Osbourne is the one who should be shitcanned. She's an idiot, has no idea who any guests are or who they are talking about at the beginning of the show. She has zero talent and has only achieved what she has because of her ridiculously dysfunctional family.

Apparently Miss Chen (don't call her Julie) had a run-in with Gayle King recently on the show and Julie was appalled by Gayle's behavior. Miss Chen will be calling on her husband to make sure Gayle goes running back to OWN.

by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 22, 2013 12:12 AM |
Julie had been bugging Les for her own afternoon talk show for years. She killed GL and ATWT. When they realized it would look bad - and why did they care? - they surrounded her with those other idiots in a View rip off. All along it had planned to be just Julie's show.

Love the cast of The Talk, esp. Cheryl and Julie. Cheryl is one of the funniest comediennes on TV in a long time. She and Aisha are people I would like to have as friends, and no, I am not black.
Julie also can be very funny.
The only thing I wish is that they would stop all Kardashian talk...hate that tribe.

by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 2, 2014 2:11 AM |
I've caught the show a couple of times in the past few weeks and can't stand it. The problem is that they are all pseudocelebrities and think the same way. I don't like The View, but at least there are differing opinions. Last week The Talk were discussing Ferguson and they all bitched and moaned about how the officer wasn't indicted. You could sense that many in the audience weren't on the same page. Then today, they were totally ripping on Christian Bale for calling out George Clooney on the paparazzi (audience roared with applause when they read Bale's comments). Aisha or whatever her name said nobody is checking on Christian Bale and they all agreed. I'm not a huge Bale fan, but he's a great actor whose had more hit films than Clooney. The reason he isn't all over the tabloids is because he lives a private life, unlike Clooney with his staged relationships through the years. Nobody on that stupid panel made that point. They are a bunch of suck ups.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 2, 2014 2:30 AM |
R62, please get your eyes checked. Julie Chen is only decent in his husband's eyes. She is ugly as fuck. There is a reason why the camera doesn't do close-ups on her.
Yes, Aisha is the only decent looking one among them...
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 2, 2014 3:23 AM |
The Talk is more fun but an earlier poster hit the nail on the head when he said they're all psuedocelebs so they cant be too controversial like their View counterparts who, for the most part, have nothing to prove. I think Sara and Aiesha are the smartest women on the panel.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | December 2, 2014 4:06 AM |
Oh please Sheryl set off a firestorm when she told a story about how the Queens of Comedy minus Monique trashed her back in the day and Sharon is always getting into trouble with her mouth. I liked their comments on Ferguson and Bill Cosby.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | December 2, 2014 9:10 AM |
"The Talk" is a copy of "The View," both of which are terrible chatter women's shows voicing their opinions as if anybody really cares. Cancel this shit and put on Jerry Springer in its place.
