- Brooklyn, N.Y. in the house. Will check back later I hope there is a later..
- CT here. Things are still very normal.
- Boston?
- Yeah, it's pretty nice out where I live. Good luck, East Coast.
- East Village here. I'm going for a run along the river. Hope I don't drown.
- It's raining lightly and there's a little bit of wind right now in Southern New Hampshire.
- It's 75 and sunny as usual here.

- 80 degrees in L.A. right now
- Boston here. I work for the City of Cambridge. Think city will be closed?
- South Philly's still here! I just brought in my patio furniture, got canned goods at Acme, and am going to bleach the bathtub and fill it with water. My boss called me today to let me know the building's closed until Tuesday afternoon.
If Philly gets destroyed like Katrina did to New Orleans, our looting here is going to be a shit ton worse because this city is full of the world's biggest fucking idiots.
- In a sudden spasm of human compassion, it was reported today that Governor Christie himself will act as a levee to block the storm surge up and down the Jersey shore.
- Kisses to R12 for my first laugh out loud moment of the day!
- Michigan here. Getting ready to eat some chicken chili and watch movies. The wind picked up for a while but all is quiet now.
- In Silicon Valley, CA: it's 67 degrees at noon, with the high for the day projected at 78 degrees -- laundry is drying on the line & cats are sunning themselves in the backyard -- tomatoes continue to ripen, & the lemon tree is full of green fruit with a few yellow ones still left.
On the other hand, we are prone to devastating earthquakes without warning.

- We in New Jersey are safe. Gov Crisco has offered his sizable frame as an inflated lifeboat to the thousands who are in flood zones. All are aboard as I type.
- Manhattan here. I bought coffee and toilet paper so I feel ready. Should I tape the windows?
- Yes, we're fine.

- 87 and sunny here in Phoenix. We will be naked skeet shooting later today.
- I am surprised at the number of people who don't have enough toilet paper to last for a while.
Do corner stores sell it in 10 square packs or something? Did Bloomberg outlaw double rolls?
- Yes, R29 that's another ugly aspect of Mayor Mike's frugality. We cannot use more than two squares per poop. If we exceed our allotment we are SOL until the first of the month.
- West Hollywood boy here. Another appointment another dollar.

- A little poop goes along way.
- Sitting on Catalina Island sipping a mimosa and just watched coast of California slip into the sea. Unprovoked phenomenon.
- Sunny and 60 in Dallas
- Western North Dakota. Light snow, light breeze. Crockpot potato soup made yesterday in the fridge waiting for reheating tonight before new episode of The Walking Dead.
- Norfolk, VA here. Light rain for 24 hours with gusts and heavier periods. Some streets and parking lots flooded.
- Harlem here ... just had a block party for the kids. Swept up and helped the neighbors bring in things that could blow away. So wholesome it's sickening.
- I work for the state of Massachusetts and the governor just cancelled work for all non-emergency state workers.
- Houston. Getting ready to go out and mow the lawn.
- CT again here. Slight winds, but not even a drop of rain yet. Schools are reportedly closed for tomorrow and Tuesday, so workplaces will probably follow suit. I feel like I'm waiting for an alien invasion.

- Let us all pray that New Jersey is eliminated. It is filled with god-awful people.
- I'm pretty sure you can cross Chris Christy and his state off the list, they are gone, they just don't know it yet.
- Baltimore- a little wind but no rain. It was drizzling earlier. I think it's supposed to hit at 8am tomorrow.
- Beautiful cool fall day here in Atlanta.

- As most people are Anonymous, it would be helpful to identify people in some way as they become lost.
- Here's Chris Christie going to get some ice cream.

Very slight breeze. No rain. It's pretty dark out there - if this were winter, I'd think a major snow storm were coming. (It has that kind of look outside.)
Got a call a few hours ago that there's no work tomorrow.
I believe the governor is somewhere on the Wildwood boardwalk, holding a soft serve creamcicle cone (chocolate dipped of course) with one hand and weilding a corn dog in the other, while daring the storm to knock the slice of pepperoni pizza off his shoulder.
Me - I'm getting ready to watch Dracula - Prince of Darkness, one of the Hammer Films I DVRed from TCM recently.
- It's a crisp and sunny 48 here at the end of an especially brilliant autumn. Now all the leaves are gone. No hurricane worries for us but we may have blizzards and -30 temps during the winter and then the many many nerve-wracking tornado watches and warnings in the spring. Power outages are so common from high winds and ice and snow that we have our own very large generator.
- Another Brooklynite here. It's starting to mist, wind is blowing. My partner and I picked up my mom from Long Island and have her here at our place. We're making chili, sipping wine and watching the storm coverage.
I have a feeling this is much ado about nothing.
- Check out the Ptown cam. A bit windy and wet

- Vegas has lovely weather for wearing shorts during the day, and celebrating the extended week long holiday of Halloween. This means nightly parties for a week, in order to sell plenty of liquor and help Vegas' economy.
- That's nice of you, R51. You & your partner & your mom are lucky to have such a good relationship with each other. I didn't, but was close to her best friend, who's gone now -- we would have enjoyed riding out a storm together (as long as there was enough red wine & popcorn!).
- Virginia and Maryland are going to get smushed. The storm is going to fuck up North Carolina and PA too. This is going to impact the election. I want the media to interview Karl Rove about how advantaged Romney is. If anything can motivate Dems it's Karl Rove.
I'm fine. Midwest. It's getting windy here but not too band. I think the worst part of the storm will be late afternoon tomorrow thru Tuesday.
- I love all the Christie Creme jokes. Keep 'em coming.
- One of the weather guys said there would be big waves on the Lakes. I know Lake Michigan sometimes comes out onto LSD during winter storms.
- 8:45pm Buena Vista Park, San Francisco
breezy, with continued darkness and moonlight continuing until dawn, with increasing chance of cum showers for the next six hours

- Is anyone from New Jersey okay??
- Anyone??
- R51 sipping wine and having chili, yummy
- In Washington DC its raining now and 52 degrees.
School has been cancelled until wednesday YAY!!
- More Philly burbs. Getting windy. Steady rain. No work today.
If the worst happens, I hope my cat doesn't eat me.
- NJ here. Let's see . . .
Top winds for the storm out at sea are now up to 85 mph. It still looks like it's taking aim at AC for the direct hit. I can still, as I posted earlier somewhere, imagine Our Big Fat Creep Governor, holding his assortment of boardwalk treats, raging against the storm at the Jersey Cape.
Anyway, the southern counties already have 50 mph gusts, and the storm isn't even supposed to officially arrive until around 6 pm. About 5,000 people have already lost power in the state.
A 12-14 foot storm tide is expected for Raritan Bay in central NJ.
Where I am (Newark area), there's just rain and constant (but not intense) wind, and luckily we're not supossed to get more than about 3 inches of the rain up here.
Some people in my building are still going out to drive to wherever they're going, and I don't blame them: Outside it looks like a normal rain storm with bursts of more wind and heavy rain than usual.
The reporters on the cable news channel (News12) are a calm breath of fresh air compared with the knuckleheads overreacting on the local NY and national channels, where every sentence and ever photo and every field report seems to end in an exclamation point. The News12 people are giving straighforward info, talking in normal tones and are trying to be reassuring.
- R63, I'm philly burbs too. I can't seem to buy water ANYWHERE! We've filled up plastic tubs of water and put them in the freezer. I figure if the water gets contaminated, we can always suck on ice. WInd is getting fierce and she isn't even close to us yet. Rains are steady, but not bad yet.
- It's building faster, moving slower and the flooding has already surpassed Irene. NJ, NY,VA, CT, PA, MD, MA. Flooding, high winds, power outages. Bet recovery doesn't even start until Weds. Waist high flooding on Long Island already. Surges & high tide is expected around 8 PM and it will get worse.
- I'm fine! I send my love!
Dad
- Debating walking a couple of blocks to the Palms Casino to relax in their jacuzzi or spend $5 and see a movie. Remember we ONCE had a snow day in Vegas, 'cause there was a very light dusting of white stuff and everyone wanted to stay home and play. Guess you have be very mature to live on the East Coast, when weather actually interferes with your plans to luxuriate.
- Palm Springs checking in...sunny and 84 degrees!

- Panama City where temperatures have plummeted into the 60's, under mostly clear skies.
- It's horrific, the hurricane has blown my caftan right up over my face.
- George Takei is posting storm damage photos on his Facebook page...including a photo of a shark swimming in a NJ residential neighborhood. Comments on his and other shared photos claiming lots of these photos are fake...?
Photoshop%20ignoramus
- I think the shark ones are real.
The monster wave and swirling sky ones are fake, or at least HDR (which is fake to me, but apparently accepted in photog circles).
- 5 reported dead in NY, blamed on Sandy.
- The one with the Stay Puft marshmallow man is fake.
At least so far.
- [quote]5 reported dead in NY, blamed on Sandy.
Two were by falling trees. Why did the other three die?
- Yes, but A brief power hiccup caused my TiVo to reboot which takes FOREVER.
- Los Angeles here. I just saw Channing Tatum by a decaf latte at Peet's Coffee on Sunset!!!
- They didn't say how they died. Just said Homeland Security reported 5 deaths in NY.

- Southwest VA, alive but nearly snowed in with a trick last night. Got out just in time. Now there's a foot of snow out. At least the power's still on.

Was he purchasing it or just standing near a latte? It appears he was just near a latte? Was it a specific latte?

- Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Water has receded. But damage everywhere.
This was the scene outside of my apartment last night.

- Baltimore again-never got real bad. There was some heavy wind and rain at one point, but definitely not the worse I've ever seen. The wind has died down for now and it's raining a little.
- I'm glad Baltimore is OK.
- Sorry but Maryland has a serious sewage leak, not nice at all.
- Fine in Philly, power outages and trees down in the Poconos. Power out in Exton and Dowleystown. Some structural damages in the Poconos.
The Deleware and Schulyll are flooded.
Sea Isle City and Avalon (Jersey shore) flooded and some houses are lost. It was horrific down the shore.
- Wow it seems like the "This is no big deal trolls" win again
- I suppose begging people not to make posts like "Obama up by 1000 votes in Virginia" is a waste of time.

- I wish this was no big deal.
