It's always weird to me that there are so many straight people here.
Why? We're much more amusing than a straight site, and straight people want to be amused.
I tend to agree with both posts so far because someone else did this kind of survey a few weeks ago and found a large number of straight women here, granted some were fraus but surely not all. And where I live in San Diego, Hillcrest is the "gay quarter" here. It was a bland, uninteresting part of SD before "the sisters" got ahold of it--now everyone wants to live in Hillcrest especially those heterosexual couples who think of themselves as "sophisticated". It must be true that wherever fags congregate the property values go up.

I don't believe those numbers for one minute. Especially since I also checked "straight" myself, just to be a dick.
I don't mind hanging out with straight people WHO DO NOT JUDGE me for being gay and a wanna-be slut.
I never get it how it's supposed to be thrilling to go around and judge other people and wag your finger in their faces for the things they do in their lives. I mean when you ride on a high horse all that judging and sneering takes too much concentration away from the horse riding and you get thrown off by the horse which's going 'bitch, please!'.
Many straight people in here.
You forgot to include "Gay for Pay."
I identify as Logan 5
Gay and Lesbian should have been separate voting options ro give a real picture.
Bit shocked about the amount of straight people here if it's true.
I smell the fish!
So do I

The dominatrix was cross and impatient tonight. This could spell trouble. The lovingly creepy smile which had so enchanted him before seemed more ominous as he struggled to remember the safe word.
I don't identify, just come here for the hate and the bitching

Getting pretty straight around here
Lol r13. Few will get your reference.

I'm a gay woman. I have always hated the term "lesbian" and refuse to label myself as such.
I am Borg... 3 of 3
I hate to say it, but the exodus of gay men from this board, over the years, and the taking over of it by fraus (both straight and lesbian), has led to either NO gossip or really, really bad inaccurate gossip (Fangirlism).
I'm honestly shocked by the straight rating
What's with all the fraus here? Yuck.
Careful, R26, they might be some of the pretty creatures you call "hags" who flatter you and go shopping with you and listen to you.
That is, if you're not 100 years old (a lot of the gay men here are).
R5, No one has the right to judge anyone else for their choices in life, nor to put others' down. Please help me in supporting straights on this board.
Besides being funnier than most supposed comedies, don't you think DL has far more intelligent posters willing to critically discuss current trends and fads? Plus most of the subjects are of interest to females (except for Twilight.) Best of all, are the very hottt male pics. Yum-yum.
i'm a straight female but not remotely a frau. I find them repulsive as most of you do.
I could not help but notice you omitted the choice of "Womyn".
Why is that OP?
Nan
Count me as one out and proud gay man. Never been in the closet, never will be.

I am a tribade.
WAY too many breeders. It explains the homophobia, however.
R28= MORON. This is supposed to be a gay board. An oasis from breeders. With straights you get the homophobia that's been all too evident here lately, and the incessant bickering over gay gossip.
I'm a human being. I just happen to be a male who loves the cock.
The dude has spoken
The problem with "some" straight posters is how fangurlish they get when they are presented with genuine gossip/evidence of some male actor being gay. I think if it was left up to the imagination of these same fraus, NO male actor in Hollywood (aside from like Richard Simmons) would ever be gay.
The second most annoying group are the L-Chat fly-by refugees. I don't mean long-term lesbian DLers, but these other fangurls who make up bizarre, untrue gossip about actresses who are not even remotely gay. Just so much bad wishful thinking; I know a lot of the gay fanboys are deluded, but some of the lesbians take it another level w/ no gossip to back-up.

No, I'd say GENUINE gossip/evidence rarely causes commotion. You don't see people fighting over the likes of Kevin Spacey, Travolta, James Franco, or even really Jake G. (and the actual evidence for him is not tremendous), and so forth.
I am straight, as in non-crooked, not bent. I will never associate myself with the "gay" label. I do happen to be homosexual, but that is my own personal business.
R37 = frau thinking she's throwing us gays a bone by conceding the oldest, ugliest celebrities. Acting is a gay man's domain, and a huge chunk of male actors are thus gay. What part of this do you not understand? Hell, actors very well should be gay until proven straight, the same way fashion designers are (that's how gay at least half of the actors I've ever met are).
Many actors are only marketed as straight to fulfill the fantasies of frau-type straight women. I think this is where there is a big disconnect between straight women and LA/NYC gay men (who know things from actual insider info).
The worst are the straight men. They are rare (often wandering in by accident), but definitely the most annoying interlopers, as they think their opinions are the most important.
35% straight?
I have nothing against straight people posting here, just as long as they are respectful.
I am a straight woman who happened upon this site when I googled something quirky and DL came up at the top of the list. I perused the list of topics and realized I found a place where I fit in. This is because the topics are fascinating and the responses are interesting and hilarious.
Because of my career and where I live I have been around gay people my whole life. I have had many gay friends and that is because we connected because of our interests, as one human being to another. Some of my favorite obsessions are vintage movies, vintage clothes, fashion, art, gossip, history, weird and quirky stuff that people do, 50s nostalgia, Paris, London, live theater, biographies of people in the arts.
Am currently reading The Bounder about Idina Sackville who live in the Kenyan British ex-pat community in the 1920s and 30s where all kinds of juicy carrying-ons occured. Awesome stuff. Hell, hardly anybody shares my interests, so yes, I invaded Data Lounge for some like-minded fun.

Oh, and I laughed and laughed at the Liza as Jesus thread. Comedy gold!

You'll never get accurate numbers. There's only 43 replies, and people could be lying.
Nice to have your here, Poodle.
Um, R39, I know that a lot of people are gay or queer...you're the one who's being a defensive queen.
It's true the vast majority of the time: when there's good evidence that a male celebrity is gay, and it's mentioned on here, there tends not to be a melodramatic shitstorm.
And what the hell makes you think I'm a sucker for marketing and PR (I'm not even a frau)? That just reveals how off your judgement is.
