Revolving Door at Newark City Hall.

Mayor Cory Booker's Press Secretary, Kimberly DeHaarte, has resigned after three months on-the-job, claiming "personal reasons." He lost two Communications Directors earlier this year. Could it be he's a bitch to work for?

• Booker is difficult to work with....all he does is name drop about his bestie, Gayle King.

• The woman was a single mother with a young kid - I could see where keeping up with him would be a 24/7 job - plus, it's Newark so the salary probably isn't so great.

• She didn't want to have to put up with the constant inquiries about his "McGreevey" lifestyle - seeming straight but secretly gay.

• Please, R2, the word around Newark is that too many people who work at City Hall are WAY overpaid. There are a lot of people in Booker's administration who seem qualified on paper, but they lack the basic common sense needed to do respective their jobs. With respect to this press secretary bolting, it doesn't surprise me when you consider that most of the people on the city council can't stand the mayor - a excellent speaker and PR person for the city, but a poor administrator. In fact some council members refuse to show up for any public event if there's even a possibility the mayor will attend as well. BTW, I've been told by more than a few co-workers of mine who live in Newark that Cory's nickname is "Mayor Cheese" because he never met a camera he didn't like. And to think this guy has a chance of being our next governor.
