Mia Wasikaka
How did she manage to get a filmcareer? Nepotism?
She is bland, has no presence, no charm, looks average and is only a passable actress.
What gives?
- Knee pads.
Mia
- She was terrific in "In Treatment" on HBO, a real tour de force for such a young actress.
That's what launched her, and deservedly so. She hasn't quite lived up to that series of performances yet in her film work but she has great potential.
- She was fabulous in Jane Eyre.
- There are worse actresses working in films today

- She has the charisma of a block of wood. I'm glad that most attempts to make her happen have failed miserably.
- She'll never be a true star until she changes her name to something people can pronounce...

- I thought she was lovely in The Kids Are Alright.
- Sometimes, one good role doesn't translate into a great film career.

- She was a total zero in Albert Nobbs.
- She's a very good character actress, she does good work and I think disappears inside a role. But no, she doesn't have the charisma of a movie star (but most actors don't).
- Of all the young starts that were foisted on us by Hollywood in recent years, I find her to be the most genuine actor in the bunch. She actually *wants* to work.
- I think she's excellent! I'm surprised you don't agree. Oh well....
- Didn't see her in IN TREATMENT, but liked her in THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT. However, she was the least interesting Jane Eyre I've ever seen and she was a drab ALICE IN WONDERLAND (never mind that the film was awful too).
She's one of those actresses who are fine in smaller-scale realistic roles, but she lacks the charisma to play leading roles.
- Apparently Mia is a very nice, down-to-earth person.
- OP loves Kristen Stweart.
