Tell us something that you've won. It could be from a raffle, a sweepstakes, a lottery, a game show, a radio show prize, or write in contest. Cash or prizes, it doesn't matter. Tell us what you won.

• I won the Borden's Babysitting Contest when I was 12. The prize was $10 to pay the babysitter so my wife and I could go out for a night on the town.

• Local newspaper use to have Oscar contests. Winner got a year of free movie passes at the theatre of their choice. The year Shakespeare in Love was up, I won the contest. I guessed James Coburn would win for best Supp. Wasn't he considered the dark horse?

• Many years ago, I won a Red Ryder BB Gun as part of a promotion for "A Christmas Story."

  Still have both eyes.

• I won the genetics lottery.

• I won a trip from Malibu Rum and took the cash instead: $7300.

• Won $30 once from a slot machine in Carson City, Nevada. This was when slot machines were fun, with the big arms on the side that you pulled. An old lady was playing the machine and got disgusted and left. I took her place and no more than 5 quarters later all these quarters came raining into the tray below. I was so happy I almost peed my pants!

• I won the Publishers' Clearinghouse Sweepstakes.

• I won $50 in an office football pool by picking the winners randomly.

• I won a contest in Tiger Beat Magazine. Oh, the shame.

• What was the contest R10? What did you win?

• Rll, the contest was something to do with the Partridge Family. I won one of their albums, five dollars (big money for a kid back then), and received a little certificate. This really dates me...thus the shame.

• I was on Romper Room, and they selected my name to appear on their Mr. Peanut Reunion Special with six previous kids. And I won a wooden cut-out painting of a pig at a ham supper raffle.

• I won a meet and greet with Dolly Parton last year!

• I've won a lot of contests for concert and theater tickets. I just won tix to see Zach Efron in the Paperboy. Heard the movie is bad but it will be fun to see him in his underwear on the big screen!

• Two 1,500.00 jackpots. Two tickets to see a local play about two Downs Syndrome teenagers who meet and fall in love.

• A small cactus for winning the school spelling bee in 5th grade.

• I won a $280 jackpot on a nickel machine in Las Vegas years ago and I HATED gambling and did not want to dump the money back in the machine so I ran across the street to the mall and like a good gay bought some expensive clothes.

• The Winner takes it all!

• Won, over about 8 hours, gradually, $1,200 at the blackjack tables of the late Playboy (later, Atlantis) Casino in Atlantic Ciy (yes, I'm old.)' Have won: $200, 300, and $600 jackpots in various casinos (slot machines) in Reno. Won first prize in a spelling bee in 8th grade (100 years ago, heh-heh.) Still hoping for the Lotto, baby!

• I've won small amounts of money on lottery tickets.

• In high school I won a football pool. I didn't know what I was doing and just picked some random things on a chart. The only time I gambled in Vegas I won enough money to pay for my entire trip. I moved around the casino looking for slot machines that looked interesting. I'd play those machines until they lost their appeal and would wander around the casino again looking for another interesting slot machine.

• $75 in a bingo game in the basement of a Catholic church. I think I also won lung cancer from all the cigarette smoke.

• An Employee of The Year award from a company that outsourced my job a year later.

• I won a contest sponsored by Kellggs for the bicentenial. My drawing depicted Betsy Ross sewing the American flag. It was featured on the back of a box of Apple Jacks. I was 10. The next year I won a homeroom Christmas decorating contest. The whole class won but I am the one who came up with the theme and did all of the work. My teacher gave me a gift certificate to Friendly's. The next year I won a pair of Sergio Valenti jeans from a radio call in contest. That was the end of my winning streak but I was firmly on the path to gayhood.

• I also won a 5th grade spelling bee. The teacher was Miss Gross. The winning word was "quotient" which was one of the extra credit words not included in our regular tests. That's all I remember. I doubt there was a prize. I'm 40.

• I won a free Mediterranean cruise.

• An ipod. It was for a school raffle and I felt a bit mean as the competition was clearly supposed to be won by a child, not an adult. There were a lot of angry faces that day but what was I supposed to do?

• I won a crocheted toilet paper roll cover in the shape of a poodle at a bridal shower.

• I've gambled only a handful of times in my life. But I won $300+ from one of those Flaming Sevens slots. I got up, cashed-out, and walked out of that casino on a cloud.
