- Nobody has watched this?! This take balls of titatnium to do. I'd be terrified of forever being identified with the first part of the speech, but he got to the point convincingly. It's something I'd like a transcript of, actually.
- I saw this and loved it.
When the "reveal" happened, I was surprised. I was expecting a twist but not from him.
- Damn straight (if you'll excuse the expression.) Atta boy!
- That was awesome.
- I wasn't too surprised because to me, he didn't look like a right-wing, evangelical preacher.
- Nice, but I'd imagine some of those people wouldn't mind having racial segregation too.
- Possibly too sophisticated for the average American, especially older ones. They probably literally thought he just had the wrong speech and "said something about blacks".
- It's Springfield, Missouri. Most of the audience was probably saying, "I don't care if it was the wrong speech. Whatever it was, it was good! Why did he stop? I wanted to hear more about segregation."
- Send the link to Shitt Romney.
- Breaking out into "Rose's Turn" was a brilliant move. But a little showy.
- That was just awesome!! That's a minister I could easily be convinved to join his church. It may have been over the heads of some, but he sure pulled the rug out from under the close minded. Nice job reverend............
- OK, just reveal the ending. The rest of us aren't going to watch it anyway.

He puts on a number from Liza's HSN collection and does the worst "Bad Romance" lipsync you've ever seen.
- Oh no, you have to watch it, skip to the end if you want to. But he's such a good actor that you don't see it coming.
- It was the boyfriend jacket, R13.
- R14 is absolutely right. I was actively hating him up until the very end. I expected the surprise ending to come from the audience.
- It's like it was written by M. Night Shyamalan!
- [quote]Oh no, you have to watch it, skip to the end if you want to.
If you skip to the end you lose the point. Plus, it is short -- it is less than three minutes.
- HE PUTS THE CRACK BACK INTO ME!
- Good.
The sooner these Christian asses realize that the same arguments ALWAYS are used to step on minorities or outsiders the sooner their brittle, know-nothing subculture of smug ignorance may come to breaking up.
- I know we're supposed to fall all over ourselves to applaud this guy on his switcheroo performance art, but... we kinda need to win one of these battles. Maybe religion could take a little rest, eh?
And, incidentally, haven't the breeders figured out yet that we don't want anything to do with their vapid, perverse belief system?

Why shouldn't religious people speak out against homophobia
- He speaks!

- This is indeed amazing. He does the early part of his speech so convincingly that I wanted to slap the shit out of him - and then.....!!!!!!!
(and the "slip" is as good as any Oscar-winning actor could do).
- Still unfortunately that he's mentally ill and believes a magic sky fairy, who impregnated a poor Palestinian woman without fucking her and let his son be executed by a mob, will take him into space.
I hope he gets the help he needs.
- Was nobody listening? Almost the first thing he says is "I stand before you in support of this [nondiscrimination] ordinance". Still, a fantastic way to make his point.
