Honey Boo Boo's Uncle Poodle - "I Was Brutally Gay Bashed!"
Honey Boo Boo's Uncle Poodle says he was -- and still is -- the victim of some horrible anti-gay attacks ... suffered at the hands of violent homophobes who broke his ribs and dislocated his jaw.
Poodle -- real name Lee Thompson -- dropped the bombshells in a video to commemorate GLAAD's Spirit Day -- which was created to fight intolerance and violence against the LGBT community.
Poodle explains, "Being gay in the South ... people don't like it."
"Growing up as a kid, I was bullied day in and day out ... broke ribs, dislocated jaw, cars vandalized ... I've had cars vandalized to this day."
Still, Poodle says he was able to get through it all because of his family and friends who stand by him.
"It is OK to be who you are ... don't let anybody change that."

'"My husband and I live in Milledgeville because we want to be out in the country," he explains of his spouse, Josh, whom he married this past August. Perhaps defying common gay stereotypes, he adds, "I'm gay, but I'm as redneck as I can get, and we want to be somewhere we can fish and jump on a four-wheeler, go hog wallowing."

- See, they are a nice family as they seem on tv. He says they stood by him and helped him get through it. So fuck that shit about June being jailed for 4 days for $600 in back child support. She's poor, she didn't have the money. I'm sick of her "shocking" arrest record being brought up as some kind of proof she's a bad person.

- Why can't they say husband in these articles instead of partner or spouse? It bugs me to no end.
Also, I'd be more surprised if no one in that family had an arrest record. Just looking at them you know there has to be an arrest for mischief at least.
