Tommy Davis

Here's a bit of gossip about Tommy Davis, the former head of the Celebrity Centre who went missing a few months ago. Everyone sort of assumed that he’d been tossed into “The Hole” or shipped off to another location for punishment, but Davis has supposedly fled the CO$ and has been bunking with Rathbun, unofficially. And another one bites the dust....

• OP, Thanks for the info and fab news. Want to hear ANYTHING that brings about the end of any cult, especially one that has such a rep for child sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.

• Like I said, it's still gossip, but I believed it enough to post it.

• Can you reveal your source, OP, even indirectly?

• R3, all I can say is that I heard it from a source one step removed, who is close with a lot of former sceinos and has always been right when they've given me any gossip. In case anyone is trolldar checking, this isn't going to show up as me being the OP, I'm on my iPad now, but it's still me..

• Thanks, OP. Do you know the circumstances under which he left? Is his wife with him or did she succumb to leukemia?

• My guess is that all of these defectors are leaving Miss Cabbage and not scientology itself. They are still true believers, just not Miss Cabbage fans. So... don't cheer them on for getting a clue - they are still clams.

• if Tommy Davis left the church/cult/organized crime entity called Scientology, he would be declared a "supressive person" and as a result all church membmers are required to avoid all contact with him and view him as an enemy of scientology and thus their personal enemy. There are no exceptions to this. If Anne Archer is still a clam in good standing, she would have no further contact with her son if he in fact left the org.

• Most likely he's safe and secure in the arms of his best friend/lover, Mr. Thomas Mapother.

• FYI, Tony Ortega, late of the The Village Voice, was rumored to have been pressured to leave. It's just a rumor but it hasn't been confirmed whether he left or someone applied pressure to have him ousted. Anyone heard anything else?

• The few times Davis was on camera dealing with questions about Scientology, he became almost violently angry at any hint of criticism. Did he every have any kind of a career outside of the "church?"

• IIRC, I read that he had been admitted to an Ivy League school, but was there very briefly and chose to go into Sea Org.

• Wow, he passed up an Ivy League school for the Sea Org? That is one brainwashed pup.

• Just checked the Wiki entry. He was at Columbia for one semester. Truly brainwashed.

• I can only assume he was uncomfortable being away from fellow scibots and couldn't handle real and different people.

• According to some people on the ex sciento boards, Davis' wife Jessica Feshbach (Katie Holmes babysitter early on in the TomKat relationship), has late stage cancer and has been taking care of her. Apparently she treated the cancer with auditing and other Scientology methods and didn't seek medical attention until it was too late. It was diagnosed pretty early and could have been cured.

• Oh wow, if true this is HUGE!!! ALmost as good as Cruise leaving. Tommy knows where ALL the bodies are buried!

• And then there are all these rumors about Tom Cruise leaving, as well. I assumed those were made up (either by rag reporters or Katie Holmes' publicist), but maybe it's more than coincidence. I still think it's more likely that they'd form a scism cult than return to being normal humans, nobody wants to stop believing they have godlike powers. But it's break the Cult of Scientology in two and invite negative attention from the press and the IRS, so I suppose it's all good.

• THIS rumor has the ring of truth about it. The Cruise leaving rumor has the stench of bizarre Scieno damage control reverse psychology "look! he really DID love katie! but alas it was not to be, and he's back in the fold..."

• Rathbun, on his blog, said that Tommy Davis was in Texas and still drinking Miss Cabbage's Kool-aid. Tony Ortega left VV to write a book. Scientology pressure had nothing to do with it...Although VV prostitution back page ads might have been a factor.

• Could Rathbun be saying this to throw the clam detectives off? I imagine Davis knows where a lot of bodies are buried, so this might serve as a smokescreen.
