Trying to be tough and bullyish toward Obama. Sounds like a real jerk. Does not tell what he is going to do or how. Makes me sick.

• I love how contentious this one got. It was fantastic. I was waiting for President Obama to tell Romney to shut the fuck up! And I want to implement a bitch slap rule in political debates. You can use text messages - make A for one candidate, B for the other. The one with the most texts gets bitch slapped by the moderator.

• it has been noted that Mitt Romney is another Lonesome Rhodes. he really convinced me of that tonight. i bet the public persona is very different from the private. he strikes me as having a nasty temper and will harbor a grudge to the point of obsession. the Dems need to continue to hit him on Bain Capital, China and his Cayman Islands offshore accounts. this is the shit that gets to him on a personal level and makes him take off that mask of affable restraint and respectability.

The outrage should have begun with the first debate - for all the bitching about Biden, it was Romney who set this tone with the interruptions and bold-faced attempts to use up as much time talking as possible. Ryan was using the same playbook but Biden gave them a taste of their own medicine. So much of what passes for the news media is so cowed by the fear of being accused of liberal bias, that it has developed a schizoid attitude toward Obama and the Democrats, and winds up getting caught in a game of double-standards. And let's face it - the coporations that own the networks are, more often than not, supporters of the GOP.
