Wolf Blitzer: "I know several liberal women who are voting for Mitt Romney"
Did anyone else hear him say this?
On the Situation Room he told the panel that these women are liberal and worried about women's healthcare, but more worried about pocketbooks, so they are going to give Romney a try.
This might fit with the big shift in women turning to Romney in many of the recent polls.
- When will Women realize they don't know nearly as much as Men who "Know THINGS. "
- Of COURSE Wolf would say this, he's been pushing Romney and bashing Obama non-stop - they see some momentum and are hoping to turn everyone against Obama in the next few weeks. I hate CNN.
- Fits with the lies, you mean.
- It's bullshit OP. He can't cite a source, and he's a man - speaking for "women". Let's talk to those women in person. I want to hear from them. I want names and interviews.
- Stacey Dash and Lindsay Lohan identify themselves as Liberals and have endorsed Romney.
- Linsey Lohan is 1) not a liberal and 2) hardly and informed constituent and since when is Stacey Dash a "liberal"?
- I like how r5 assumes that because they're celebrities they're 'liberals'.
- Please, R5.
- But I have GAY FRIENDS!
Ho%20Mophobe%20
- Stacey Dash said she voted for Obama in the last election.
How do you know Lohan is not a liberal?
- R7 Stacey Dash voted for Obama in the last election. How more Liberal can you get?
- From 2008
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, LiLo wanted to promote Obama but was turned away by his camp due to her wild ways.
So if she was going to endorse Obama in 2008, how more Liberal can you get?
http://liberalvaluesblog.blogspot.ca/2008/09/rejected-idea-sluts-for-obama.html
- How desperate *are* you Repugs???
- Do you people actually think Lindsay Lohan has ever bothered to register to vote?
Women often hate themselves. Voting Republican is how they show it!
- Wolf Blitzer is pro-Obama, so I don't know where he's getting this from. Also, he should be pointing out that Rmoney is worse for the economy, and that the economy is on the upswing. Basically, anyone voting for Rmoney due to money is an idiot. It's like voting for Rmoney because you're worried about not having access to an abortion clinic.
- Wolf and most of the anchors on CNN are NOT pro-Obama, they lean right and are always pushing Romney and playing him up and hunting for ways to bring down Obama.
- What r1 said
I see that attitude in my family.
- Wolf Blitzer doesn't even know any women who still have eggs.

- Yesterday, in another thread, we learned that ALL the elderly in America are voting for Romney. Why would they do that?
Today, we find out that ALL the women in America are voting for Romney.
Thank god we have DataLounge threads to keep us up to date with accurate news alerts. I guess there's no need to even bother to vote this year.
- A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of the Swing States shows Mitt Romney with a lead among likely voters as he strengthens his standing with women in the nation's top battlegrounds.
Mitt Romney leads President Obama by four percentage points among likely voters in the nation's top battlegrounds, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, and he has growing enthusiasm among women to thank.
As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee has pulled within one point of the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-49%, and leads by 8 points among men.

- Binders full I'll bet.
- Ah, the intelligence of the electorate. Obama has to deal with an economic crisis brought about significantly by a failure to regulate the financial system, an area that no Republican will even try to control. Bush fucks things up, Obama tries to fix its and makes some headway, to be replaced by idiots who'd be apply to let Romney create a mess that will be the next Democrat president's fault.
- "I don't know what that means, I just repeat what this funny thingie in my ear tells me to say!"

- Omg guys we have a huge problem. This headline reads close to home. My family is totally democratic in every way. All of us voted for O. I pulled up to my brothers house today to a Romney poster in the yard.
Turns out my sis in law has been listening to fox news radio (they're on F.M. now!) and watching fox news. She's been turned into a repug in 6 weeks. My brothers staying neutral he says he doesn't want any fighting.
She believes all this shit and lies about Obama and just has a look of possession to her. This propaganda is WORKING! And it's coming to a family member near you!
- So I'm like, what if the republicans hang me in the square for being gay? I ask my sis this thinking its a good icebreaker. Argument followed. So depressed.
She's the only uneducated one of the bunch. My brother will back me up eventually but he's a little slow on the take.
These assholes (rush, sean h) are taking advantage of people who don't have the time to follow politics closely. And it's working. So sad.

- I can't wait for the election to be OVER so all of these posts 'disappear'.
I will say that I don't think "ALL" women are going to vote for either Romney or Obama. I agree that there are women on BOTH sides. Some that feel 'women's rights' are a bigger issue and some that feel 'economy/jobs' are a bigger issue. Certainly there is a group of women who wouldn't consider an abortion/no longer need to consider an abortion/etc who would find Romney the better choice.
I want Obama to win, but if Romney wins and I've voted for Obama .... Well, the country will get what it deserves. Lemmings.
- Then they're not really liberal.
- Erin Burnett is liberal now?
- [quote]I want Obama to win, but if Romney wins and I've voted for Obama ....Well, the country will get what it deserves. Lemmings.
I have felt this way in the past, but this election has a lot riding on it for gays, and for people who need affordable health care.
In addition, I have never been more afraid of a politician than I am Romney. I really believe him to be a psychopath.
Fox news is destroying this country. I've been reading the replies to articles about the election. There are so many working class people defending the 1%. One person expressed sympathy for Romney for being taxed twice. Another person thought Romney's plan to eliminate captial gains tax would help the people in the middle class because they wouldn't have to pay capital gains when they sold their house.
- First, Wolf Blitzer is a dolt. Second, women's issues are economic issues, family issues etc. -- it's not just about abortion. Third, I wouldn't put too much worry in polls showing that women are shifting their votes to Romney. The gender gap is huge and favors the Democrats.
- Wolf needs to be put out to pasture. Seriously. He's embarassingly awful.
- I am sure there are plenty of people out there who identify liberal on a lot of social issues but do not "follow" politics at all and only hear things in passing and see commercials etc, and think there's no difference between the candidates and "they're all the same" but the economy is "bad" so might as well let someone else get a try at running the country. "He is a businessman and looks like a president". I guarantee you there are more people who put that little thought into voting than there are who take time to research issues and candidates' positions.
- OP, you're just adorable! You andJ both know the battleground state polls (which are the only ones that matter) have shown The President ahead for weeks with little change.
Yes this race is tightening in national polls. But the changing opinion of a hairdresser/waitress in Utah or Tennesee doesn't matter.
Now go outside and play with your friends.

- If Romney wins, all the blood sweat and tears woman and gays fought for will be for nothing. Rich white men have always been in charge and that tradition will continue. Obama will be dismissed as Jimmy Carter's term has been. Rich white men will be able to control women and their bodies as they think they should, and Constitutionally make tax paying gay Americans second class citizens. And half this country or maybe more will vote for him anyway.

So true r34.
- Wolf Blitzer has a giant cock.
- [quote]Wolf Blitzer has a giant cock.
Then why does he have small voice dick?
- Wolf Blitzer is a rich guy in the beltway elite. He knows a lot of limousine "liberals."

Probably PUMAS.
- R32 nails it for me.

- sorry [R37] but it's like a 18oz beer can.
- Obama is sexy. I watched him make a speech the other day on C-Span and he is loose and funny and sexy. I love the way he moves walking up to the stage and looking around. That smile.
There is no way any woman or gay man in their right mind will vote against this man. There is no way we will elect religious fanatics and a man who walks around like he has a diaper full of shit clinging to his asscheeks over Barack Obama.
- Ha! I love that description of Romney [R42]
- Sorry folks, but I need a job. I'm with OP on this one.

- Any liberal woman who votes for Mitt Romney is a very, very stupid, self-loathing, ignorant woman.
- Of course women are concerned about pocket book issues. The economy and job prospects are important to them! Anyone who thinks a woman's vote is governed by her womb is deluded. And that is exactly why Obama will win them over Romney.
It's significant that the very first piece of legislation Obama signed was equal pay. The college loans, Pell grants, and tuition programs are going to help women a lot. Additional job training programs will too.
Romney is cluelss when it comes to women. Anyone who saw him at the last debate ought to know that. I am seriously wondering if there is something wrong with Romney. He lies so much that I think he is truly mentally ill. He lives in another century and I don't mean the 20th centruy. Sick fucker.
- Anotherr pocket book issue is healthcare. Obamacare lowers the cost of women's healthcare. Obamacare allows kids to stay on their parent's insurance up until they are 25. That is a tremendous help, especially to the vast number of single working mothers out here struggling to help their kids get a college education.
- [quote]Sorry folks, but I need a job. I'm with OP on this one.
Are you in China now or are you moving?
