He's an absolute racist too, and a liar. His entire appearance disgusts me to be honest.
They don't care.
They're idiots, and he's white.
Maybe they want "change". Sound familiar?
Anyone else notice how oily and pock marked his face is? It makes me sick to look at him. All he needs are knives on his fingers and he could be Freddy Krueger with that complexion.
His wife is staring at her like she smells like shit. Although in fairness she seems a little hysterical...
R5, it shows how vile Ann Romney is, as usual
It surprises me that no one in the media has interviewed psychologists to get their take on Romney. Sociopaths make up 4% of the population and they rise to the top like cream: there tends to be a lot of them in positions of political power (they are ambitious and ruthless). Usually they manage to "pass" for normal, but Romney's total lack of a conscience is plainly evident.
One of the hallmark signs of a sociopath is how they treat their pets, so the Seamus incident was a smoking gun. That he felt entitled to tackle his gay classmate and cut off the young mans' hair is likewise an appalling transgression, as well as the cruel "pranks" that he played on some of his teachers.
The reason it is so important to get the word out that he is a sociopath is because sociopaths are not capable of caring for other people. He doesn't have anyone's interest in mind but his own. He doesn't care about Mormons, white people, NRA members, Evangelicals, anti-abortion activists, the economy or even big business--except where he thinks he can exploit those aspects of his identity for his own benefit. He doesn't have the capacity to love his wife or his children. He wants power. If he's voted into office he'll be a corrupt dictator - of the most powerful country in the world. Not good given this age of nuclear proliferation and bio-chemical weaponry.
[quote] Why do so many Americans not see what a sociopath Mitt Romney is?
Maybe because they're sociopaths themselves?
I honestly don't think he is a bad guy - he was very moderate until the road to the whitehouse made him conservative. His Romney care is almost identical to the National Health Care changes - I think he just had to sell his soul to be presidental to fit the republican role.
The polls showing Romney leading or neck and neck with Obama make my head explode. I just don't get it. I understand that some people don't want a black man in the white house, but I didn't expect it to be so many.
This is a very clear choice, how could any idiot be undecided?
It's like asking a bunch of gay men, you get to spend a night with either Dick Cheney or Jon Hamm. And a bunch of gays are thinking it over.
How do you know they don't see it, maybe they like sociopaths, because their one too
They say the same thing about Obama fans.
He will get the vote of sociopaths.
It seems like the entire GOP platform nowadays has been written by and for sociopaths so why wouldn't Romney be their standard-bearer? He's perfect for the role, IMO. He embodies everything that the GOP is now...cold, not rooted in reality and conveniently detached from scruples.
I am as liberal as they come and have always voted Dem for president, but if Romney is such a sociopathic monster what was behind him enacting Romneycare in Massachusetts? Was he trying to help people or was it just about making the uninsured be forced to pay for their treatment?
He did it to pre-empt Ted Kennedy. he did it to enrich the insurance companies and big pharma. He never did it to kelp people for the sake of helping people. That was just a by-product. He has base motives for everything he does. Ted Kennedy was a thorn in his side.
Mitt Romney might be a sociopath, probably has many sociopathic tendencies. But what's most harmful is the idea translates to his positions, which make him seem sociopathic to an observer. It informs how we view him physically and mentally too. It makes for a nasty spectacle.
The other side cannot say the same about O. If anything, he's a narcissist. But most (if not all) world leaders are.
So r9, how do you rationalize his treatment of the schoolmates he bullied and of the dog he strapped to his car?
OP, that's an excellent question. I can only imagine their (possibly unacknowledged) racism blinds them to it. They hate Obama so much, they don't care about who they replace him with, and they haven't taken a close look at Romney at all.
Because even the most cursory look at Romney shows that he'd be worse than Obama in every single imaginable way. Except the whole white thing.
R9 is one of those delusional, in denial, blind people we're talking about.
Mitt Romney is so transparently a HORRIBLE person. From his documented animal cruelty, to his history of bulling, to his pathological lying, to his "happiness" at fireing people and ruining lives, to his old habit of dressing in an officer's uniform and pulling over women to get his jollies at terrorizing/controling them.
He's a fucking sociopath, with zero empthy.
He's not a bad guy, except for the fact that he's a sadistic, manupulative, untrustworthy prick. Other than that, he's great, I swear!
"I honestly don't think he is a bad guy - he was very moderate until the road to the whitehouse made him conservative. His Romney care is almost identical to the National Health Care changes - I think he just had to sell his soul to be presidental to fit the republican role."
Which is exactly why so many of us think he is sociopathic.
The way he treated that woman was absolutely vile. That smarmy fake laugh, then he walked away to sign an AUTOGRAPH, what a piece of shit.
He side steeped her question, in same way he doesn't give any real facts in his speeches.
Unfortunately, the woman didn't confront him with then most basic of questions, "WHY don't you think every American taxpayer deserves health care, WHY is that wrong, because that IS what the Affordable Health Care Act IS about?"
The problem is, the mainstream media doesn't show these types of confrontations with him, people need to be exposed to exactly how this vile evil sociopath REALLY feels about the average American.
He is sheer evil.
But his skin color doesn't threaten 45% of the American population.
And, homophobic...and STILL a bully!
Dunno but that was kind of rude of that woman (was it really a balding female?). How would Obama react if he was confronted in the same way?
Yes, how rude of a voter to ask a policy question of a politician at a campaign event. Doesn't she know her place?
I'll bet if he becomes President he will be even more coddled and distanced from the citizenry than King George W. Bush was because Bush's advisors kept him isolated to protect him, politically, whereas Mitt probably doesn't want any contact at all with ordinary folk.
I'm just so looking forward to him fixing the global economy, sending unemployment right back down to 4% and solving all of our foreign policy issues. Mitt just makes it all sound so easy. Because, y'know, it's just that with Obama, people perceive us to be weak whereas with Mitt, they'll think of us as strong. And all of our problems will be sorted. It really is that simple.
I hate him and anyone who votes for him.
If we should be so unfortunate to have Mitt Romney elected President, what do you think Ann Romney's first order of business will be?
I think she will call the exterminator and have the White House fumigated (stage whisper)"Because black people lived here"!
It doesn't help to keep blaming racism. Although there is no doubt that racism comes into play with some of these Republicans, they treat all their opponents
just as poorly.
No, they do not treat their other opponents "just as poorly". They never shouted out "YOU LIE!" to Clinton during his state of the union addresses.
The level of utter disrespect shown to President Obama is unprecidented.
This mustn't happen.
I refuse to believe in 2012 that half this country hates this man enough to vote for someone who has actually promised to make things even worse with his policies and has lied right to our faces.
All politicians lie right to our faces. First day on earth?
I would still eat his hole in a HEARTBEAT!
[quote] The level of utter disrespect shown to President Obama is unprecidented.
Despite the misspelling of unprecedented, I tend to agree with you, however my rose-colored glasses would have me hoping again that it's not so much the color of his skin, but the resentment of him being a one-term congressman who was treated as the savior of the world by some of the American people.
What the hell are you talking about, R5? That woman does not seem remotely "hysterical." You, on the other hand, seem a little like an idiot.
[quote] my rose-colored glasses would have me hoping again that it's not so much the color of his skin, but the resentment of him being a one-term congressman who was treated as the savior of the world by some of the American people.
Sadly, you would be wrong.
No, r36. There are two STARKLY different choices in America this November.
One team is far from perfect, but MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the other.
The other, since you sound like you need a hint, in this case is Romney & Ryan, two absolutely evil men.
"You wanna listen now?"
He says this a lot to people who have the nerve to stand up to him.
Also, Ann's expression in that video is creepy.
Most voters do not know the issues. That is why they are so susceptible to political ads and posturing by candidates. Been this way for a very long time. Frustrating as hell.
Imagine most middleclass white men are voting for a man whose policies will stick it to them while the very rich get richer. Why do they vote this way? Because they don't pay attention to the issues, they are racist (in this case, but that did not explain Bush), and they believe stuff that they hear on FOX TV.
Watch that clip and keep your eyes on Ann. Her non-reaction is chilling. Her eyes like a shark's.
Americans are dim wits.
They hate a black man in the white house. Period.
[quote]Why do so many Americans not see what a sociopath Mitt Romney is?
Because American largely don't care about issues. They don't read. They want instant gratification. And challengers can do a lot of tearing down the incumbent and not have to account for governinig, which is very different from campaigninig.
Americans care about winning and losing, which is why the polls have gone crazy since the last debate. Romney spent the whole time lying--but he "won" because he appeared stronger and decisive. And aside from Obama's poor performance, his answers are more thoughtful, planned and long-term. They require the voter to think and examine the issues. Good luck getting the masses to think, read and digest information. Americans often prefer asshole rich, frat boys.
But let's hope not this time.
"Dunno but that was kind of rude of that woman (was it really a balding female?). How would Obama react if he was confronted in the same way?"
Who cares if the woman was balding, yes, women DO lose their hair, what the hell is your point, freeper? Perhaps she is going through chemo or has an illness which causes baldness, such as Lupus or PCOD.
ANY politician should be able to clearly answer ANY question an American taxpayer asks them, unfortunately, most politicians are outright liars and Romney tops the list of liars, pretty much everything coming out of this mouth during this campaign has been a lie.
Besides, being a liar, he's so slimy and smarmy looking, the oil seems to ooze out of his ugly large pores.
If your question was, "How would Obama react if he was confronted in the same way about health care?" Obama would have given her a straight truthful answer, because the Affordable Health Care Act will allow many people to keep their, or finally get, health care coverage despite pre-existing conditions!
For a sociopath as Romney, that appears to be a bad thing! This man is such an uncaring eltist, he feels only the wealthy need to have health insurance, the middles and working class are useless to him, when they die off, there's another person available to wash his floors!
Meanwhile, he is all for his rich buddies getting even wealthier as struggling Americans get poorer. Are Americans really this stupid to even consider voting for this guy?
Romney is such a sociopath, when the woman kept trying to ask her question, he switched gears and then started to robotically ask the woman if she liked his old health care idea. WTF??!!! Romney is insane, it's damn scary how many more Americans can't see this.
Americans love sociopaths, it's part of the country's roots in cultural (and actual) genocide, imperialism and unchecked corporate power. I live this country. I'll always fight the dark forces around me, and you should too.
