Now if you're gay or lesbian, I know what you're going to tell me: She doesn't like gays. What she has said when pressured is that she doesn't believe being gay is "God's best." Obviously, I strongly disagree with that statement. I think deep in her heart, she probably does too, but she repeats that same phrase as Joel Osteen out of fear that the really hardcore Christian right would attack her. They don't much like her as it is because plenty of people still don't think it's right that a woman would be preaching. Many people also take issue with the fact she didn't attend formal seminary school. Personally, I admire that she is a woman preaching in a man's world, and that she learned her lessons by living a hard life.
The bottom line is that I don't have agree with everything someone says to find value in the rest of what they say. Ninety-nine percent of the time, Joyce is talking about problems and challenge I really can identify with. What she says has, without any doubt, been an incredible blessing in my life. And while I tithe to my very progressive and accepting church, I also give money to Joyce Meyer Ministries every month because I believe in what she is doing with her message and with her work in third-world countries.

I love her too, and apparently Rihanna loves her. Riri is pretty much an out bisexual butch chick these days.
Dear heart.... she still believes that you're damned to horrific and eternal torment in hell.
Hey Jim Walker:
Fuck off, you self-hating douche bag. Go practice your voodoo or whatever that religious crap is in private.
R7 he is openly gay.
That woman is so deeply unlovely. Her harsh St. Louis accent or whatever it is gives me chills.
He's pretty cute
35? In what, Blanche, dog years?
There is no reason or excuse to smile approvingly at a person pronouncing the equivalent of gay-hating fundie bullshit. Announcing that "she doesn't really believe it" makes her a WORSE cunt, not a better person, than if she spoke from her cold and dirty heart.
When will these fools learn that public people making money out of their public personas who are homophobic are always our enemies and cannot be tolerated. This craven bitch, with her common-sense pabulum and earthy delivery, undermines our rights.
I'm a gay non-bodybuilder and I couldn't possibly care less why some muscle queen likes that closet bull dyke Joyce Meyer.
R14 like u would kick him out of your bed.
Back in the day, her husband was cute in that Midwest mustachio way.
The following is from a county assessor:
Joyce Meyers Ministries
$20 million dollar building
$23,000.00 marble toilet
$30,000.00 conference table
$11,219.00 French clock
$10 million dollar corporate jet
$900,000.00 salary for Joyce Meyers, who is president and head of the board of trustees
$450,000.00 salary for Dave Meyers, her husband and vice president of JMM
Lexus and Mercedes-Benz cars, worth between $40,000.00 and $60.000.00 for her, her husband and her son
Only about 10 per cent of her actual income goes to charitable causes
This is just the tip of the iceberg...the list goes on and on...
And Joyce's St. Louis County palace is just minutes away from where her followers dwell: the trailer parks of Jefferson County.
To be fair, I don't think Joyce promotes herself as a charity -- she runs an evangelist organization, dedicated to spreading the Word (if not the deeds). There might be some charity involved, but it is not the main scope of her work.
Me too, R4. I also strongly believe she got into ministry, in part, to pray the gay away.
At least this dude isn't a Cabinette. (But yeah, if he's 35 I'm Marie of Romania.)
His bodybuilding.com page claims he's 35. Bullshit!
Not surprised this nutcase is from Dallas, TX.
He supports Obama.
i would still mount that !
His website is great. I don't agree with him about Joyce Meyer, but otherwise he seems like a really positive gay role model. In great shape, masculine, strong and confident. i subscribed to his site. Glad I read about it here.
[quote] Glad I read about it here.
You get all kinds of great news on Datalounge!
Even Betty Butterfield doesn't like Joyce Meyers anymore!
Except this gay bodybuilder
I try to avoid people and issues where I have to nitpick in order to keep these people and issues in my life and still remain in a (sort of) happy and sane place.
I prefer motivational speakers like Louise Hay over Joyce Meyer.
Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers. It tells people to go out and stick their noses in other people's business

His website just got a positive review!
