There's something a lot more uniform in the UK with the English as far as being more of a melting pot, and the USA, it just feels different though there are lots of interracial couples, it still seems weird in the USA. Granted it's not 100% perfect but the reality is far removed from the picture you paint of it being "one of the last places minorities want to live". • r11 - you're incorrect. In the USA it is spelled ETHNICITIES. Look it up. Additionally, what melting pot in the USA? You are nuts, the melting pot is not working, whites flee to live in white suburbs, in cities whites live among whites, non-whites live ONLY among their ethnic group. It is RARE for people to mix in cities. In the UK it is a bit different but you still have a similar thing going on. The UK's melting pot works a whole lot better than the USA's melting pot.
