Republican Candidate In Arkansas Says Parents Should Seek Death Penalty Against ‘Rebellious Children’
How Biblical.
A candidate for the Arkansas legislature, Charlie Fuqua, says children who don’t demonstrate “respect for parents” should be put to death, the Arkansas Times reports. Fuqua is a former member of the Arkansas legislature and has received support from the Arkansas Republican Party and two sitting members of Congress.
Here’s the key passage from Fuqua’s 2012 book, “God’s Law: The Only Political Solution“:
The maintenance of civil order in society rests on the foundation of family discipline. Therefore, a child who disrespects his parents must be permanently removed from society in a way that gives an example to all other children of the importance of respect for parents. The death penalty for rebellious children is not something to be taken lightly. The guidelines for administering the death penalty to rebellious children are given in Deut 21:18-21:
Fuqua helpfully notes that “This passage does not give parents blanket authority to kill their children.” Rather, parents would have to “follow the proper procedure in order to have the death penalty executed against their children.” Fuqua assures the reader that, in his view, the procedure would “rarely be used.” The threat of death would, however, “be a tremendous incentive for children to give proper respect to their parents.’
Fuqua, reached by the Huffington Post on the issue, declined to comment.
Fuqua’s book previously came under scrutiny for advocating expelling all Muslim’s from the Untied States. In response, Fuqua said he believe his view on Mulims were “fairly well-accepted by most people.”

- [quote]21:20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
[quote]21:21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die
I'm thinking this would make for a good episode of South Park. Colorado elects Charlie Fuqua and he orders Cartman stoned to death for being a disrespectful glutton.
- This is the kind of crazy that will bring about the fall of the religious crazies who are currently influencing the Republican part. It can't happen soon enough or to more deserving people.
Bet he's against abortion, too.
- [quote]“This passage does not give parents blanket authority to kill their children.”
I appreciate analysis like this when studying proposed legislation -- useful & comforting.
- It's amazing how many deeply mentally ill people the Republican party houses.
- That really is in the bible, and is a great example of why the bible needs to be removed from public life.

- Fuq him!
- Wow was this guy let out of an institution? He is really crazy. But this actually makes me happy - it is people like these mentally ill psychos who will bring about the end of the Republican party as we know it. They will need to start restructuring.

- Jesus Christ pretty clearly stands against the stoning of people under any circumstances. The issue is hardly a grey area, it's "I fully respect my father's fathers! But now you got me so here's the new rules: Don't hurt anyone ever" There can hardly be a disagreement about this, it's every second sentence he says. I know no one cares, but it's just confusing to me how people would be able to read the bible and don't get that.
Anyway, holy shit, that guy is insane.

I see nothing in 20:21 and 21:21 (the revealed word of God, I need hardly add) to justify candidate Fuqua's assertion that parents do not have blanket authority to kill their children. God clearly intended a parental assertion of gluttony and insubordination to lead automatically to death, without any scope for socialist- and liberal-inspired intervention or prevarication.
Candidate Fuqua is part of a Muslim/Obama-led plot to deny American Christian parents their God-given unconditional right to inflict righteous death on their offspring. Why does he hate America?
- Just tell him it will be used against unruly embryos. That will shut him up.
