How is this pronounced?

Bona fides I thought just like it seems, but now I hear it as bona feedes. Please advise. TIA.

• BO nuh FI deez the 'o' and the 'i' are both long as in OH and EYE. It's 'englishized' Latin

• Thank you R1. I've heard of Roman and Eclisiastical Latin, but never englishized. Of course, I have not studied Latin in 50 years. Yes, I am an eldergay. And, I probably mispelled Eclisiastical.

• R1, Are you sure? I would have thought it would be pronounced bonuh fighdeh, with the "s" being silent. R2, I think it's Ecclesiastical. There is no such word as "englishized." You would say the English version.
