Which U.S. West Coast is most like an East Coast city?

San Franciso is the easy answer.
Sebastopol is like Collingswood, NJ.
Oakland is as nasty as Baltimore but with warmer weather.

They're all too modern and most of them blueprinted and designed during the industrial revolution, so ... Santa Cruz and San Diego (oldest cities on the Continental West Coast, founded in 1769)
At first glance, all American cities look almost depressingly alike; I can't really tell one from another if I'm shown pictures of their skylines--alot of the same glass and steel skyscraper sameness, McCity, if you will.
