Does he have alopecia or something? He looks like he's gluing on his eyebrows now.
OK, I am kind of excited about this!
He's dyeing his hair and eyebrows way too dark and it looks freakish.
I'm excited about this, too. I saw ONJ in concert a few weeks ago in San Francisco and the crowd were wild for her. She looked and sounded great. John Travolta will probably be auto-tuned to hell and back. It will be interesting to hear Babs thrown into this mix.
[quote] John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are coming out
Really? After all these years?
Why, he's just the picture of heterosexuality in that photo, isn't he?
That's one gay stocking stuffer.
OMG, I want this! I'm actually crying as I'm typing this...oh my GAWD!!
I wouldn't have recognised Olivia in that photo (and not in a good way).
She doesn't look like herself and he looks awful. He should stop dying his hair black. It doesn't suit a 60 year old man. If he doesn't want to go grey, he should lighten up - a lighter brown color, perhaps.
Apparently Kenny G and Cliff Richard also appear on the album.
And here is the track listing...
1. Baby It’s Cold Outside
2. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree (featuring Kenny G)
3. I’ll Be Home for Christmas (featuring Barbra Streisand)
4. This Christmas (featuring Chick Corea)
5. Silent Night
6. The Christmas Waltz
7. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (featuring Cliff Richard)
8. Winter Wonderland (featuring Tony Bennett and The Count Basie Orchestra)
9. White Christmas
10. I Think You Might Like It
11. The Christmas Song
12. Deck the Halls (featuring James Taylor)
13. Auld Lang Syne/Christmas Time Is Here (Medley)
Dear Santa. Any CD, but this!
Ahhh! I love JT, but have to say he looks like he's got my old GI Joe doll's head of hair.
Figures they would lead with that "charming" Baby it's Cold Outside.
This is sad. I just know Andy Gibb would've been on this album...had he lived. And they have the gall to smile.
Is that some The Onion type of joke?
LOL, r14. I wonder if he has also has kung fu grip.
I love the cover photo: "It's Christmas, girrrllll!"
Cliff Richard too? Be still my beating 70's heart.
And I still miss Andy Gibb.
I might have to buy this, just for the cheese factor alone.
He's a disgraceful closet queen who needs to come out and stop promoting shame.
Why does the press and Hollywood continue to cover for him.
It's not really a duet. Olivia is singing "I Saw Johnny Kissing Some Guy Dressed Up As Santa Claus."
Wonder why she doesn't do something with her daughter? She's a singer too. I doubt ONJ likes her very much. Iv'e always thought that.
Should be titled, "A Very MARY! Christmas."
The album looks kind of fun and super gay, but what's up with his painted eyebrows?
In that photo she looks like Victoria Jackson twenty years ago.
Do Scientologists celebrate Christmas?
[quote] Do Scientologists celebrate Christmas?
Only Jehovah's Witnesses and Jews don't celebrate Christmas.
"with a joint Christmas album this year!" totally kept this thread from being relevant.
"I Think You Might Like It" is a new song by the guy who wrote their hit "You're the One That I Want." I'll give that one a listen.
The CD is out! Has anyone bought it?
I have, R32. It's absolutely unlistenable. Travolta doesn't so much sing as talk his way through songs. Just try to make it through "Baby, It's Cold Outside" -it's so dreary it sounds like a record played on the wrong speed. When James Taylor finally shows up on a song, you hope it's to slash Travolta's throat.
And here are some reviews from Amazon.com
[quote] 5 stars - the voices are great
[quote] 5 stars - It is a joy to hear these two on record again.
[quote] 5 stars - both Olivia and John sound thrilling and fantastic here
[quote] 2 stars - It's hard to make a more disappointing 'follow-up' than Two Of A Kind, but John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John have managed it with This Christmas!
[quote] 1 star - I've been a long time fan of ONJ, but this cd is complete garbage.
[quote] 1 star - Ugh. Cat farts and baby splats.
R24, Donna Summer never recorded with any of her daughters either, all of whom sing, one is an active recording artist.
Olivia's daughter might sing, but she hasn't had any success. A shelved album in 2006, a failed single only released in Japan in 2010. Maybe she just isn't that good.
The title should be
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are coming out
Both are closeted beyond belief.
And at least Travolta is a good dad, not llke that mess Newton-John gave birth to.
See young Olivia before she dyed her hair
Olivia Newton John now looks like Pia Zadora.
And I think at this point, Travolta should just shave his head and use black shoe polish.
That is such a cheesy album cover. It screams: "This photo was taken in July with $20 of props!"
Travolta's medicated talking on that sluggish "Baby It's Cold Outside (So Stay Here So I Can Rape You)" was excruciating.
I can only imagine the Scientology drones were deployed to fill the page with 5-star reviews.
Recipe for disaster. It'll end up as ashtrays in gay households.
How the hell do you look like Olivia Newton-John and wind up giving birth to a gargoyle?
Barbra previously recorded 'I'll Be Home For Christmas", so I have an inkling that her 'appearance' on this album consists of them using her old tracks to sing a duet or trio with.
Too bad she mutilated herself. She should have put on 20lbs to fill out the face and age naturally with a nice gray bob....oh well. She could have been a beautiful older woman.
Doesn't make him any less gay.
Only a closeted gay man who wants the world to believe he's straight would think "I know! A campy Christmas album will convince the world I like the ladies."
