GOP Rep. Allen West Reportedly Asked Wife To Be His 'Porn Star', Demanded 'Non-Negotiable' Sex Acts
U.S. Rep. Allen West (R-FL) reportedly asked his wife to be his "porn star" in a hand-written letter from Iraq in 2003, detailing "non-negotiable" sex acts she was to perform on his return and ordering her to wear only two-piece bathing suits.
Former Palm Beach Post and Radar.com staffer Jose Lambiet published some of the contents of the letter on his South Florida site Gossip Extra, arguing the intimate details are news-worthy because the way the Tea Party Congressman relates to women has become an issue in his reelection race.
Lambiet said he exclusively obtained the letter written to financial advisor Dr. Angela West, whom the former Army Lt. Colonel married in 1989. Among the contents:
The congressman proceeds tells his wife he expects certain intimate acts upon his return that will be “the standard and it is non-negotiable.”
...Then: “Angela, I need to know, are you committed to being my porn star?
“I do not want to hear ‘no’ or ‘we’ll see about that.’ I want my fantasies to be with you. God has authorized you and you only as my partner for intimacy and that is what I want.”

West, a self-professed "modern-day Harriet Tubman" who previously compared the idea of someone going for a ride on his motorcycle to "touching my wife," is 9 points behind Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy for Florida's 18th District, according to a new Democratic poll out Monday.
West said last year that "Planned Parenthood women" are "neutering American men" and voted to defund the women's health group, then generated more controversy when he called Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) "vile," "despicable," and "not a lady."

Was this detail included as a hint that he's black?
(NB: I hadn't clicked through to the HP article when that thought occurred to me and didn't realize there was a photo of him there.)
I like that he told her his demands are "non-negotiable." Classic ReThuglican thinking.
I've seen Murphy interviewed on MSNBC. He makes clear that he doesn't think West has what it takes to be in office, but he doesn't get into name calling or making fun of him. I think he's playing it very well.
The man is an absolute monster and war criminal. No portion of his privacy or rights should be regarded in the pursuit of his destruction.
Down with Bachmann, West, Akin and all their shit for brains comrades.
West made it clear that he was a fucking loon when he claimed to have a higher security clearance than the President. That was way back before his "there are 81 communists in the House" thing and the rest of his insanity.
I really want him to lose. He can go rant in Glennbeckistan where he belongs.
Sweet Honey West. Another gift from Heaven. The Load is with us!
So it's either this guy or Rand Paul of Aqua Buddha fame who is the BI politician who likes to tie his wife up and keep her still during sex?
How did the letter get into the reporters hands? West and his wife divorcing?
Okay everything else aside - the fact that in other thinsg he sounds liek a douche - it just sounds like a crazy fanatasy love letter to his wife.
I want you honey in no uncertain terms - be on your back when I enter the door so there is no delay in me entering your love temple wink wink wink.
People in intimate relationships say and do things that may seem "peculiar" in the light of day. I sure as hell wouldn't want anyone passing judgment on my sex acts or sexual banter. And I don't mind a little passive aggressive game playing.
We just hate him cause he is a rethug asshole. If this were your fantasy fuck make these demands on you and wanting you to be his porn star you'd be in heaven.
I detest West politically and I hope he disappears into a swamp after this election, but airing a private letter to his wife (as odd as it may come across) seems like a violation of his privacy.
"Non-negotiable sex acts" = rape?
Seriously, if you are not allowed to say no, and you don't want to, what else is it?
To print this personal letter is pathetic and low. Plus I see nothing interesting in there. He fantasizes about his wife in a bikini, wow! Makes him look pretty good compared to all the politicians harassing teenagers of either gender.
R18 = Todd Akin
If you are not allowed to say no, and don't want to, that is rape. But what does that have to with this thread? Would you cal a letter that says "You need to come with me!" kidnapping?
Todd Akin at R18/R20, please read R17
Oh please dl dinge queens ultimate fantasy
1) I'm European and can't remember who Todd Akin is(think I heard that name, but...), so think of something else ~witty~.
2) I was replying to R17. Please explain how writing a letter begging someone to put on a bikini and have sex with you makes them unable to say no. You have no idea if she did what he asked or not. So I guess at least we are talking about attempted rape per letter. Please.

OK, I'll take a stab at this. We can start by reviewing the actual content of the article, and not your simplistic reimagining of it:
[quote]U.S. Rep. Allen West (R-FL) reportedly asked his wife to be his "porn star" in a hand-written letter from Iraq in 2003, detailing [bold]"non-negotiable" sex acts [/bold]she was to perform on his return and ordering her to wear only two-piece bathing suits.
"Non-negotiable" = no right to refuse. In other words, he is demanding sex acts from her and making it clear that he won't be denied. In most people's minds, this is an act of rape.
He is not "begging", as you claim, he is demanding, and making it clear under no uncertain terms that he is not to be denied. That's what "non-negotiable" means. The person he is addressing is being told that they have no right to refuse and that he won't be denied the sex he is demanding.
In other words, rape.
Is there anything you don't understand about what I've explained? I can go through it again for you, if you'd like.
It's not rape if the "order" is appreciated and enthusiastically followed. That's consensual sex.
It's not rape if the "order" is ignored either for no sex at all or another kind of sex, that the wife favors, which is entirely possible, even likely. Him writing that it must happen does not make it so, for fucks sake. Welcome to the world, where other people don't always do what you tell them to.
It's not rape either if she is annoyed by the letter but chooses to go along with his fantasies for once to make him happy. That is consensual sex.
It is rape if she decides not to go along with the "orders" and he forces her or terrorizes her into it. Do you have any knowledge of this happening?
Rape is a word that has meaning. It refers to non-consensual sex acts that actually take place, not to people using less than pc language in their personal sex letters.
