Gay-themed film about the relationship between a gay documentary director and a publishing lawyer with a crack habit. Got great reviews, but I found it tedious after a while. Yes, the portrayal of a man unwilling to let go of a fucked up person was probably realistic, but the director and writers didn't make it sufficiently dramatic. Too many scenes were repetitive, and the filmmaker character wound up being too sponge-like to be truly interesting or compelling. The actor playing him didn't help. But Zachary Booth as the addict was better, and more charismatic onscreen. Plus he has one hell of a set of low-hangers. Other opinions from DL?
