Alleged deadbeat dad Rep. Joe Walsh thinks Sandra Fluke should ‘get a job’
Saturday, September 8, 2012
Tea Party-affiliated congressman Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) has taken exception to Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke’s remarks at the 2012 Democratic National Convention and said that he thinks the women’s health advocate should “get a job.” According to Talking Points Memo, Walsh made the remarks at a campaign stop in Addison, Illinois on Saturday.
“So at the Democratic Convention Wednesday night their first prime time speaker was Sandra Fluke, whatever her name is,” Walsh said. “Think about this, a 31-32 year old law student who has been a student for life, who gets up there in front of a national audience and tells the American people, ‘I want America to pay for my contraceptives.’ You’re kidding me. Go get a job. Go get a job Sandra Fluke.”
He went on to call it “embarrassing” that Fluke is an American who is “asking everyone to pay for her contraceptives.”
What a fucking pig. Someone should punch him in the mouth, seriously.
How many abortions has his girlfriend's had? I wish someone would ask him if it would have been cheaper if they had taken contraceptives?
What a fucking moron.
What they miss -- intentionally -- is that her testimony before Congress dealt with medically necessary contraceptives for someone else, not because she wanted to go fuck around on a Saturday night.
I hate, loathe, and despise Repukes. They are vile, evil creatures.
The right's personal attacks on Sandra Fluke come off mean-spirited and petty even by their standards. The GOP women might even be worse the men on this. They seem threated by strong women.
Any chance Walsh won't get reelected? He seems esp. vile.

There's another story out there detailing the foul things Ann Coulter said about Sandra Fluke at the DNC.
The guy attacked Tammy Duckworth for fuck sake. A bigoted deadbeat who never served. If he wins, then IL's got a district full of idiots on par with Bachmann's district.
I have to say, it's harder and harder to exist in this country...so many ignorant Republicans.
R4, as a rule GOP women hate other women and are especially threatened by strong ones. I am surrounded by Rethugs and the women make fun of Hillary Clinton quite a lot. Their religion and their husbands tell them that women are to be subservient to men. They're huge bitches, most of them secretly hate their husbands, and a lot of them are drinkers.
Joe is a Tea Salope
If an insurance company can pay for Viagra so a guy can have sex, then what's the big deal about birth control??
How in the hell can a country allow people too dumb to even understand the basic concept of birth control (ie. it isn't only prescribed for those who who are sexually-active or "sluts") to make legislative decisions on availability?
Weak, self-loathing women are always threatened by strong, self-confident ones.
Forget him being punched in the teeth, I say, knock his teeth out with a baseball bat. I don't want to hurt my hand.

That about sums it up. Women like Fluke remind these losers that they're losers.
She should get a WHAT?!

A very good one.
Firstly, he was only elected as a fluke because of the apathy from Democrats around the 2010 midterms. More importantly, when Illinois got redistricted, he chose to run in a much more Democratic-leaning district.
The Voice of the Night
We did this one yesterday.
Oh Joe, running your mouth like the shit which can't get out of your body fast enough.
Tammy Duckworth was up by 9 points against Walsh the last time I saw the polling.
This deadbeat dad is sitting there ranting about parents who can't afford sneakers for their kids as the justification for why "the government" shouldn't cover birth control for women.
What a fuckwit.
"The GOP women might even be worse the men on this."
Don't confuse the Fox News babes with actual Republican woman politicians, who have been appalled by these shenanigans.
This guy is clearly an asshat, but I wish Sandra Fluke would go away. She's the kind of stereotypical democrat that makes independents and the working class hate democrats - she's comes across as entitled and seems to believe it's the government's job to take care of people like her who are clearly well off. She got 15 minutes of fame because Rush picked her out to make his lewd and creepy comments, but she represents no one but herself.
Doesn't she represent other women, R21?
R22, she's not a very good representative of other women. If she was from more humble/middle class means and had a better story to tell (like say one of Honey Boo Boo's sisters, if they were ever to make it past the 10th grade) she would be a good representative for women. As it is, she's more representative of elite democrats

Leave it to a Republican to constantly repeat the same lie hoping it will eventually be confused with the truth.
Fluke was testifying about a friend who needed to take the hormones in birth control for reasons unrelated to having sex, since the panel seemed unwilling to recognize that birth control has many, many medical uses unrelated to having sex.
But of course, if Republicans didn't lie about what she was testifying about, they'd have to admit not everyone who takes birth control is an evil slut who needs to be shamed, ostracized, and "gifted" with a rape baby they're forced to carry to term.
It really is quite amazing how little effort most in the GOP are now making to hide their seething hatred of women's freedom.
R24 is correct. She also wasn't talking about government provided health insurance, she was going to testify about private insurance.
They just lie and lie and lie.
I can't wait for this asshole to be tossed out on his ass after the election.
Is it just me, or do straight white men seem overly obsessed and angry with this woman?
Is it related to her looks?
If you search for images of her, the results immediately suggest "hot" and "boyfriend". She's supposedly, for someone who's become a political figure, considered pretty good looking. You'd think if they really thought she was a cute slut, they wouldn't be so pissed. There's also tons of hateful gifs that come up. Dudes that can't get a date maybe? I get why conservatives would want to insult a liberal "poster girl", but it seems over the top from these men.
It's official. Piece of shit and former rep joe walsh is a dead beat dad and he has filed a request in Cook County Circuit Court to cease paying child support payments because he is no longer employed, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Monday:
In a Feb. 1 court filing entitled “motion to terminate child support obligation,” Walsh’s attorneys asked to change his support requirement, which under a previous agreement, was to continue until May.
“Joe’s employment has been terminated through no voluntary act of his own and he is without sufficient income or assets with which to continue to pay his support obligation,” the filing states. “Due to substantial change of circumstances, Joe requests that his child support obligation be terminated based on his present income and circumstances.”
At one point, the filing asks to amend his payments to be equal to 20% of his income — which presumably is 20% of zero.
You know what I say? Get a job you fucking loser. Wasn't the Tea party the party of personal responsiblitly? But piece of shit joe walsh doesn't want to be responsible for his own children. Now the taxpayers are going to have to support his children
