LONG BEACH (KTLA) -- Four Marine Corps members are under investigation for a possible hate crime after a man was beaten outside of a popular gay bar. The unidentified victim was beaten unconscious early Monday morning outside the popular Silver Fox bar in Long Beach. He was taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries and has been released. The four men were arrested for assault, but the attack is being investigated as a hate crime because one of the Marines reportedly made derogatory remarks to the man during the attack. The Marines, who have been released on bail, have not been identified. Two other people were reportedly injured trying to stop the fight.
