Just Saw Lawless

Pretty good Prohibition/shoot 'em up movie. Fantastic cast (Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman) but MY GOD is Shia LaBeouf annoying in this. I kept on wishing for his character to die.

• Shia gained 40 pounds for the role, and said it gave him sleep apnea. Fingers crossed for an Oscar nod.

• I thought Shia did okay, although I liked Tom Hardy best. Guy Pearce was such a nasty creep. He did a good job.

• R3, it's a new movie that just appeared in the theaters.

• History? The one that did the feud. Was it A&E?

• Was disappointed that none of the guys did any nudity. Only nudity was female. : (

• How could a movie with such big stars open with no fanfare or any promotion. Never heard of it.

• Shia was okay, Pearce was over the top, Hardy was magnetic, Jason Clarke and Jessica Chastain were sadly wasted, and Mia Wasikowska seemed unaware the film isn't set in present day. The film was only so-so.

• I hated that Pearce kind of altered his looks and played such an evil guy. A little too violent for me. Shia, he ain't the type of guy you usually see running around the hills of Virginia. I think Shia was good but will any of them be remembered for an Oscar? I don't think so.

• I just wanted to get to the end, so I could see the Pearce character get killed.

• I really don'tknow what you guys see in Hardy? I'm not seeing it.
