I think Jeremy is a good actor, but it's really unfortunate he had that spazz out over gay rumours (even Kevin Spacey did this back in the day). It looked at one point he was on the verge of coming out as well, with Colin Farrell giving hints at the Oscars.
I don't mind glass closets and can overlook and respect that, but just stfu and don't go into denial. Makes me not want to like them and root for them. Issuing Tom Cruise-style angry gay denials is the worst, nobody would care otherwise it's not like people want to out you. Wentworth Miller also did this, ridiculous.
