I do ! I do !! But they're nothing but pure sugar, so I very rarely eat them.
They're orange--but yet they're banana flavored!!!
Are they insane?
Orange ya glad I didn't say banana again?
Disgusting things, and I generally love candy.
Like banana-flavored sponges.
They're OK but they're not Junior Mints or Reese's
Nothing is worse than those black and orange peanut butter taffy things, black people give out at Halloween

Spoken like a true RACIST!
I used to eat Circus Peanuts as a kid and always got a wonderful sugar high from them. Haven't eaten one in years but now I have a taste for them!
Yes, R4! And they're also peanut-shaped.
They were my introduction to Amerika!
Love the gently yielding texture.
I love them. I eat them probably once a week - I get a small bag $.99 from CVS, I even like them stale. Jolene Sugarbaker has a jello mold recipe with them in it, although I like to watch him/her I don't think I'd ever make anything she makes. I'm not a candy lover otherwise either and I don't care for chocolate, however if I have a nice glass of wine I wouldn't mind a nice piece of chocolate -
Sounds delish, R14!
I don't eat them but use them as tampons.
I save pennies on the dollar!
[quote] I even like them stale
Ah you do know that is the way the always taste
I really like candy corn, so I expected to like these too because they looked similarly cardboardy & overly sweet. But I don't particularly -- not crazy about Peeps either.
Is this suppossed to accompany the anchovy thread? Yes to both. I do like circus peanuts, but eat them rarely about once every couple of years. It's whim purchase and I enjoy it.
Now Peeps I don't really care too much for.
My freak of a mother loved them. She'd drink a bottle of Pepsi along with them.
Not surprisingly, both my parents felt full dentures were a natural, inevitable, evolution for adults.
Circus peanuts are always sort of stale and cardboard tasting.
I really LOVE candy corn though and I know many people are turned off by them...so whatever floats your boat.
The absolute best carnival snacks will always be freshly made candy apples with warm caramel and crushed nuts and warm funnel cake. Those foods always make me think of summer.
I *LOVED* them as a kid.
With those memories, I tried one as an adult... and they were just disgusting.
I love Peeps!! Especially when they're stale. They get kinda crunchy.
Rita's Water Ice makes some of the best flavors.... they've had Peeps flavor, Swedish fish flavor, Sour Patch Kids flavor .... haven't seen Circus Peanut flaor ....YET !

He may be racist but he is right

Heaven forbid they should've brushed their teeth after eating.
[quote]I really LOVE candy corn though
poster sucks toes
Got any right now?
Candy corn is also my favorite, but only Brach's, as the other kinds just aren't as good.
R28, I've never noticed a difference between candy corn brands -- I always just get whatever's on sale. Maybe this Halloween I'll spring for several kinds & do a blind taste test. I can only stand them once a year, but I do tend to freak out with them then.
For my guilty "stash" candy (only a couple of times a year, I can't get fat) I alternate between circus peanuts and orange slices.
And yes, both are better not stale exactly, but "aired out" for a few days.
Same here, R24. I love when they're stale. I've also tried freezing Peeps. They're actually not bad that way!
They do them as bananas, too
When my brother and I were cleaning my parents house out after my Mom died we found a half bag of Circus Peanuts in a drawer. They were from when my neice and nephew were like six years old. My neice and nephew are pushing 30 now.
I love to nuke peeps. I also love the orange slice things when they are really soft and mushy. My friend had cherry slices that were lovely but I can't seem to find them. I think he got them in a gas station convenience store.
No. Even the "aroma" of circus peanuts can turn my stomach. Ditto for Peeps and those chewy squares that look like tiny blocks of neapolitan ice cream wrapped in clear cellophane.
Never cared for candied jelly orange slices or candy corn either.
Anyone who doen't like peeps is seriously disturbed.
Peeps are a little too soft for me. Too airy.
They sure are cute though.
Most disgusting confection EVER!
I was so excited when I bought my first circus peanuts and felt so let down. Yuck. That banana flavor is gross and the texture is like what I imagine spongy, dead flesh to be like.
Peeps = pedophiles
Power of suggestion...I stopped on the way home last night and bought a bag of circus peanuts. They were awful and good and I will NOT do that again for awhile.
Also, somewhat stale
I am gagging just thinking of what they're like from years ago.
Another horrible, horrible 'candy' is those wintergreen flavor round pink tablets that came in plastic bags. GROSS.
And don't get me started on Necco wafers and candy Valentine conversation hearts (same shit)
They're absolutely terrible, but if they're around, I'll eat them. Don't know why.
What I really love are bull's eyes aka caramel creams. Always eat away the caramel part first, then let the cream slowly dissolve on my tongue.
I have never liked circus peanuts. I love valentines hearts though, especially the white ones. They kind of taste like pepto bismol tablets, which I like as well.
The banana flavor is so fake I never even realized it was banana! Nevertheless, I used to eat them once in a very long while - but the last time I had one, a few years ago, it was just inedible and tasted more like chemicals than anything.
I do like candy corn, but I rarely eat that either. As for Peeps, I don't consider them a form of food. They're more like mattress or pillow stuffing.
[quote]They're OK but they're not Junior Mints or Reese's
Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint -it's delicious! It's very refreshing!
I find them endearing.
They are fucking disgusting.
Ex-Pixie/Ex-Breeder Kim Deal used to go around offering them to people back when she used to be strung out on heroin.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
