Anyone? I'm choosing Dawnguard... I'm not very keen on being a vampire to be honest.
My character is a goodie-two-shoes.
Almost everyone I know in real life has played this game, but nobody on Datalounge? Really?

As hard as it may be to believe, even though many of us are living in our mother's basements, very few of us are under 18.
R3, thanks for proving you're an idiot.
Of the people I know playing the game, only one is under 18. Virtually everyone else is over 40, and the rest are in their 30s.
What is wrong with you? Do you think "movies" are something only kids go to as well? Because that's just as stupid as thinking video games are "for kids only". In fact, most of these games have a "Mature" rating, and should probably only be played by those OVER 18.
Playing this tonight... no other big plans, 'cause the weather here is kinda crappy.
I was obsessed with this game for a couple of months; it was an amazing experience. I have to say, being a werewolf kicked all sorts of ass but in all the times I played, I never got the chance to be infected by a vampire. pity.
what would I be getting for this expansion pack. Spill!
Well, it's a whole new quest line, and you can be a vampire, and a vampire has its own skill tree as well. Or you can be the "Dawnguard" who are fighting the vampires, your choice. So really, two different quest lines.
Plus there are the kinect voice-commands, new enemies/monsters/beasts to fight, new armor types, and other pluses for high level characters.
Has the DLC come out for PC? Last I checked, it hadn't, so I can't play it.
I have two characters, so I'll try vampire and Dawnguard.
It's a 30-day exclusive for XBox users.
It comes out next month on PC and PS3 I believe.
Just played for a couple of hours... about to enter the Soul Cairn (playing Dawnguard).
Pretty fun.
Have already played through as Vampire AND Dawnguard...essentially the same missions, just different perspectives...as a vamp you never get to go into the Dawnguard and wipe them out....
It adds new skill trees for Vampire and Werewolf (so if you are a were, join the d-guard for the achievements)
Either side: save game and then shoot the sun with the blood arrow for an achievement. (you'll know what I mean).
The chick will become a companion either scenario.

Thanks, R11
Am I the only one that thought The Soul Cairn bit was kinda boring? HUGE area with not a lot in it. And searching for all those damn pages that one guy lost was tedious (but the amulet you got for it was kinda cool)
I remember when Skyrim was getting your ass licked on a Pan Am flight to Bazil

(R13) Yes I wish there were more to the soul cairn...great environment but little to do in the expanse....
so in the after game, did you destroy the sun and watch the vamps attack villages? I only say Rjoriksted (sp?) get attacked....might try it again in a major city...
I'm not there yet, R15.
R15, just finished it as Dawnguard. So no, I didn't destroy the sun, I saved it :-)

Hmph! Virtue? Where's the fun in that?

That's a good question, given I'm neither a vampire nor a werewolf, so never got into those skill trees, and cannot get those achievements.
as long as you have the blood tainted arrows, you can always kill the sun (just save the game, kill it, get the achievement, then reload)
It seems like we'll never get Dawnguard (and possibly not Hearthfire, either) on the PS3.
Skyrim itself continues to kick ass, though.

One of the great many reasons I have an XBox
Sony sucks
Anyone know if there's going to be any additional DLCs? I mean, like Dawnguard, not like that "gee you can build a house now" expansion.
QUESTION: I used to have Skyrim on disc. So all of my progress is saved on my Xbox. If I download Skyrim through Xbox Live will my saved progress be recognized?
I loved Skyrim until I found out that being on PS3 meant I'd probably never get to play any of the expansions or dlc kind of killed my enthusiasm for it,I never even finished the core game.I do enjoy watching the Let's Plays on YouTube though.

I really don't get this attitude, which I've seen expressed elsewhere too. Even without the DLC, it's an amazing game, and there are actually two parts of the core game, the 'dragons returning' as well as the Skyrim civil war.
Right now I'm playing 'Fallout 3,' also by Bethesda and also amazing. I do wonder how they were able to make DLC for Fallout but not for Skyrim.
Eldergays don't play video games.
The newest dlc Dragonborn looks really amazing and you get to visit a new plain of Oblivion ruled over by another of the Daedric Princes and you do battle with the very first Dragonborn.
Anyone?

James Holmes was a Skyrim fan according to new unsealed documents! I knew that dude was cool.
