He disappeared after "Alice" went off the air. I thought he was way hot.
What ever happened to Philip McKeon of "Alice"
by Anonymous | reply 88 | December 12, 2019 10:36 PM |
I heard he cooked and cleaned and went out of his head.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 3, 2012 10:19 PM |
Nothing since the 8s (not counting videos or appearances as himself).
Nancy had the better career.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 3, 2012 10:29 PM |
Funny, I just watched "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" for the first time yesterday.
It was worth the wait.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 3, 2012 10:29 PM |
The imdb link at R2 has pics of him grown up, standing next to Nancy.
I'd guess that he quit getting roles because he got butt ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 3, 2012 10:31 PM |
I watched this movie a couple of weeks ago. Did you want to go to the ranch with Kris, R3?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 3, 2012 10:37 PM |
I don't think he's butt ugly at all. And he definitely has serious BDF!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 3, 2012 10:47 PM |
Yes, R5. Nice ranch, nice Kris.
When he said to Alice, "That ranch doesn't mean anything to me," I yelled, "Bitch is you crazy???"
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 3, 2012 10:51 PM |
lol, R7
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 3, 2012 10:56 PM |
Who cast him as Alice's son? He looked more like Polly Holliday than Linda Lavin. They should have revealed Alice was just looking to dump him with his real mother - Flo.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 3, 2012 10:58 PM |
Yup, another early indicator that I liked the penis.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 3, 2012 11:21 PM |
He must be at least 6'5"
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 3, 2012 11:28 PM |
[quote]And he definitely has serious BDF!
I was just going to post the same thing.

Jesus, some of you queens have no taste.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 4, 2012 12:36 AM |
Interesting...if you type his name into google, 'Philip McKeon gay' is the first frequent search in their list and there are lots of fans questioning his sexuality on various sites. Maybe everyone was wrong about which McKeon kid was gay.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 4, 2012 3:08 AM |
He'll be 48 in Nov. Is he single?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 4, 2012 3:15 AM |
He's currently working as a personal assistant to the kid from "Small Wonder."
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 4, 2012 3:22 AM |
Halfway down the page is a photo of him in a speedo.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 4, 2012 3:31 AM |
He was in the 1990 movie "Red Surf" alongside The Cloonster, Dede Pfeiffer adn Doug Savant.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 4, 2012 3:59 AM |
He did a regional production of THE FANTASTICKS in the late 80's. Played Matt, the boy.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 4, 2012 12:46 PM |
For the love of God what happened to Vera?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 4, 2012 1:06 PM |
He dyed his hair black and did The Facts of Life for a few years.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 4, 2012 1:06 PM |
How come they hardly do mini bios on imdb anymore?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 4, 2012 1:46 PM |
He was super hot when we was 18. Tall, cute, great eyes, smile and body and very hung. His sister punked him on some TV show where Philip went into a changing room to try on some new pants. They took all of his cloths and he had to come out of the booth in just his undies which were a pretty tight speedo. You could see almost everything. The boy was very well hung and it wasn't fake
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 18, 2013 4:28 PM |
I bet they were going to hire butch Nancy McKeon to play Alice's precocious daughter. Then her brother tagged along to an audition and they went with him instead. One of the top five worst TV actors ever.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 18, 2013 7:13 PM |
In so many instances when you guys scream big dick face the men have had tiny meat.
I suspect what you think of as BDF is actually tiny dick face.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 18, 2013 7:20 PM |
Tommy was barely necessary in the series. McKeon's Tommy was this kinda dull kid and and when I remember the show, I carely remember Tommy at all. Alfred Lutter as Tommy in the film, however, was a force of nature. He played Tommy in the pilot and then got too big.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 18, 2013 7:24 PM |
I was 10 when the showed premiered and, yes, I developed a serious crush on Tommy. Definitely one of my first indicators that I was "different." Well, that and dressing in a flannel bathrobe and running down the hill next to our house pretending I was Laura Ingalls.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 18, 2013 7:33 PM |
You can see his anus from space!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 18, 2013 7:50 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 18, 2013 9:53 PM |
He has HUMONGOUS Dick Face.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 18, 2013 9:59 PM |
[quote] Tommy was barely necessary in the series.
As the seasons went on, his role diminished to almost nothing. But when the show started out, it seems that the writers and producers envisioned it as a "mother-son" show about Alice and Tommy, with Mel's Diner secondary. In the opening credits for Season 1 (see link), McKeon gets second billing after Linda Lavin. I suspect that they quickly discovered that McKeon couldn't act, but they couldn't kill him off, so they just kept reducing his role.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 18, 2013 10:19 PM |
Yes, his flower bloomed way too early.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 18, 2013 10:23 PM |
He looks like Joel Osteen - can't he get those ridiculous teeth filed down to normal size?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 18, 2013 10:24 PM |
His role diminished once the producers got a taste of my comedic talents. I mean, have you seen my bit with the STRAWS?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 19, 2013 4:04 AM |
i have pics of him signed by him a poster of him as well
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 16, 2013 7:17 PM |
God, people, we do this subject every six months! He is horse hung for goodness sake. Cue the pic of Tommy reclining in his red Speedo.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 16, 2013 7:54 PM |
Kiss my grits! Leave my little Tommy alone. If you're gonna pick on someone, pick on his mama, Alice. She's a cunt!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 17, 2013 2:57 AM |
[quote]Here he is with little sis Nancy McKeon! [see offsite photo on formerchildactors.com]
He's not bad looking for his age.
But, in this photo he's wearing a pager. I hope this was at least a decade ago.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 17, 2013 3:08 AM |
He's definitely not gay. I know for a fact that he dated both Kristy McNichol and Geri Jewell. Pussy-hound of the highest order.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 17, 2013 3:11 AM |
He co-owns and operates a flower shop in Santa Cruz with the guy who played Jim Bob on The Waltons. He gave up acting completely in the '80s.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 17, 2013 3:36 AM |
I loved him on "The Love Boat." That was my favorite episode.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 17, 2013 3:43 AM |
r43 - are they more than business partners? I've heard rumors about Jim Bob (David W. Harper) being gay and Phillip McKeon was described by someone as "gay as a goose".
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 17, 2013 4:21 AM |
Jawbreaker McKeon. Yep.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 17, 2013 4:27 AM |
No wife mentioned in IMDB or Wiki. Never married?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 19, 2013 12:07 PM |
What about the original Philip from 'Maude', or the WASPy replacement for that matter. What about Moosey something or other who played Howard Borden's son on 'The Bob Newhart Show'?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 19, 2013 4:34 PM |
Jim Bob from the Walton's owned an art gallery in Calf. No wife....so gay.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 19, 2013 4:36 PM |
Both Phillips turned out GORGEOUS. So did Moosie Drier.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 19, 2013 7:01 PM |
The new issue of EW has reunions of famous casts, including "The Waltons."
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 19, 2013 7:10 PM |
I had a huge crush on Jim Bob from The Waltons when I was a kid in the '70s. He's gained a lot of weight over the years, but would still be hot if he would lose a few pounds. I wonder how John and Olivia would have reacted to Jim Bob coming out. LOL. I'm sure there would have been a family group hug at the end of the episode.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 19, 2013 7:16 PM |
[quote] I wonder how John and Olivia would have reacted to Jim Bob coming out. LOL.
I'm not sure, but I can tell you how Grandpa would have reacted!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 19, 2013 7:21 PM |
John would've lectured him and have him seek out a cure in Scientology, while Olivia would have him mysteriously disappear only to be found dead in her house, while she conveniently was out.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | October 19, 2013 8:58 PM |
He's married to a woman named Gerri (not Cousin Geri, although that would be hilarious). They live in an apartment in Studio City.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 11, 2014 11:46 PM |
He had gender reassignment surgery and became known as Nancy. Went on to have a long run as one of The Facts of Life girls.

by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 14, 2014 3:48 AM |
Still has BDF
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 14, 2014 10:07 PM |
I remember watching "Alice" when I was a kid when the show was new. I thought Philip was so hot. I loved it when he played his guitar on the show. And in one episode he was wearing a western outfit that gave me a preteen hardon. His cowboy boots, hat and tight blue jeans!! Yummy!!) It boggles my mind that Philip is an old man now: 51! Yikes!!!
by Anonymous | reply 62 | April 21, 2015 7:04 AM |
Either Philip McKeon or Himmy McNichol was on a recent Oprah Where Are They Now Episode. Whichever one it was, they weren't hot.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | April 21, 2015 7:22 AM |
Tommy is gay, not his sister Jo.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 21, 2015 7:38 AM |

What Ever Happened to Philip McKeon ?
I heard he was paralyzed in a terrible car crash involving is sister Nancy, and they now are both reclusive former shadows of their heydays, living in a dark cavernous old mansion in Hollywood that Phillip bought with his "Alice" residual cheques. I hear things are not well between the two sibling, apparently Nancy has taken to the bottle, and spends her days acting out scenes with her imaginary castmates from "The Facts of Life".
Tootie works for them as their maid. Mindy Cohen claims to be writing a musical about The Facts of Life , but she is just bilking Nancy out the last of her fortune, Mindy is a scam artist who still lives with an ancient and decrepit Mrs Garrett who enables her schemes from time to time .

by Anonymous | reply 82 | July 14, 2016 2:06 PM |
Linda Lavin, Talk about your ugly stages, I had the misfortune to endure her performance in a revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" in Branson , MO.
Her portrayal of "Big Daddy" was not the "triumphant return to the American Dinner Theatre Stage " the two-for-the-price-of-one flyers she was handing out at the local Stuckeys proclaimed it to be by a long shot.
