Robin Quivers
Any update on her health crisis? It stricks me as odd that there is such a media blackout
- *bump* I'd also like to know.
- No news.
For whatever reason, she doesn't want anyone to know about this.
Not even her co-workers.
- That's some blackout -- first Ive heard about it
- What health crisis? What was said?
- I heard she was going in for a "procedure," but that was it.
- I'm assuming that she had to have a hysterectomy.
- Read this, r4.

- I'm worried too.
Fred
- Not worried at all...
Lisa%20G.%20
- wow, that sounds bad. Howard knows. He's already speaking of her in past tense.
- Any updates on Robin?
- What she got?
- I'm not a Howard fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I find his loyalty to her touching. And honestly, he seems fairly decent, if gross.
- She couldn't pee, she had a growth, so they installed a pee bag and she was having surgery last week. So I'm guessing they removed her blatter.
- I wish her the best, but let's be honest, most people have no idea who she is so the media wouldn't care enough to find out.
- blatter = bladder
- I am she is in bad shape;(
- R17 = David Sedaris
- But Shamrock Shakes!
- U
- R20, you are why the Internet exists.
- I dont know how she can be so positive. I would pee my pants.
- She intimated that her diagnosis was not life-threatening but that it would have a long term/lifetime affect.
I suspect that she may have to end up wearing the urine bag for life; that's what is bumming her out. That would hinder her lifestyle.
- Bag o' urine!! Bag o' urine!! Can I interest anyone in a free bag of urine?
Robin%20Q.
- She's back on the show Monday. She never said that it would have any kind of long term affect, but did call the procedure "barbaric". Robin has been critical of western medicine for years.
- Seems like she's just fine.
Wonder if she wanted some extra attention?
- R26, I'm not sure that I'd agree that she's fine. She hasn't been in to the studio since the operation and has been calling in each day so she can work from home.
She decided she didn't want to talk about what exactly is wrong and Howard has respected that. I don't get to hear every minute of the show, but I think he's stopped making jokes about her urine collection bag and whatever else he was kidding her about.
So for now we still don't know what was wrong or how serious this is.
- I don't like it, whatever it is. Howard seems worried and that makes me worry.
Damn he's a good interviewer.
- during the NY edition of America's Got Talent, Robin was in the audience, right behind Howard's parents.
- True R29. Those of us that listen to his show know those NYC auditions were filmed in either April or May which was a few weeks before she discovered that she had the urine blockage.
- I love Robin, and I love how Howard loves Robin. I hope she feels good soon!

- For those that aren't able to get Howard on Sirius/XM, attached is a snippet of Howard talking about Robin on the day of her surgery.

- Perhaps she shouldn't have a "barbaric" procedure if she feels that strongly about it.
- Bet she's not laughing now.

- R33=retard.
- [quote]I dont know how she can be so positive. I would pee my pants.
No you wouldn't because YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PEE! Pay attention.
- Anyone know WTF is going on with her?
From what I hear Robin is still broadcasting from her house.
This%20must%20be%20REALLY%20bad
- She's fat.
Linda%20R.
- where can you listen to old Stern shows online?
- I didn't realize she's been doing the show from home. But, I have noticed that her voice seems off, like fragile. I love the show and love Robin. I am worried about her health now. Has anything been said of her results?
- Seems like a complete media blackout on the subject of Robin's health. Worries me a bit.
I assume that she now has a "bag". Can't blame her for not wanting to talk bout it
- I love Robin. Hope she gets better.
- I have Howard TV on Demand. There were a few shows about a month ago when she was in the studio (and she looked well, albeit thinner) and not a big deal was made of it. She quickly went back to doing the show from home.
- Thanks for that R43. As a listener it's so hard to tell whether she is in studio or not because they never say anything about it anymore. Sometimes the guests acknowledge her and I can't tell if it's because they see her in her booth, or if they are just speaking to her because they know she's wired in online.
When she's working from home, do they have it set up so that she can see what's going on in the studio?
- Guests are informed that Robin is not in the studio before they come in, so it's not a topic every time someone visits.
I don't think there'a a camera cause some days Howard has asked Robin whether she's wearing lingerie or clothes.
- She can see them, but they can't see her. They can at times hear her cats meowing in the background. She clearly saw Will the farter farting on the mom last week but she wasn't there.
- She sounds great. Her voice was a little odd the first week. She sounded a bit faint. But it's back to its full force now.

- There are countless Stern shows on torrent sites. Like the one here.
http://thepiratebay.se/search/howard%20stern/0/99/0
- Howard Stern is not playing a character of the lovable bigot. I think he's taking advantage of you and you're shilling for him!
the great Ronstadt
- Did she ever reveal what her medical issue was?
- Not really. Said she had huge tumor near bladder
- A caller asked about it on the Wrapup Show the other day and Gary just said something along the lines of "it's up to her whether she wants to give an update or not."
I'm still worried too, I wish she would say something.
- Why do you care about this no-talent skank? She's just an ass kisser for Howard.
- I only like to listen to Stern when he slams dumb celebs like Whoopi Goldberg. People helpfully link to those kind of rants on YouTube.
- Go eat shit R54. We love Robin.
- must be the lez-lezzes on here who love this dumb ass nothing. Typically, lezzie have no taste in anything, except puss-puss!
- At least Whoopie's famous for actually having an act and acting skills. This one's just famous for muttering "Oh Howard!"
- obsequious, fat, fugly = Quivers
- R50/R54/R57/R58/R59: Your obsession with Robin is hilarious.
Sooooo, it must kill you that Howard has for decades refused to sign any radio deals that meant leaving Robin, huh? Talk about that for a bit. And feel free to rant wildly, while tossing your faeces at your computer screen.
- Robin is essential to the Howard Stern Show.
She's so good, you don't even notice until she's not there.
- I love Robin and I'm not a lesbian. I'm a gay man and have listened to and
watched this show for many many years. Howard is extremely gay-friendly (yes, I know he wasn't in the early years, but people change and he has). Robin is the best side-kick he could have. Loyalty is something to be cherished.
- I thought it was funny when her fat, busty ass attempted tobe an equestrian
- I don't care if either of these assholes are gay friendly, they're just not funny.
- R64: Yes, they are.
Dr.%20Remulak
- Linda Ronstadt was right. Right around the time Howard started his hate humour with the Selena jabs pop culture took a downward turn from which it has never recovered.
- Ah yes, Linda Ronstadt. Has there even been a more erudite commenter on the culture of the day? I guess there's truth to the adage Where Ronstadt goes, the people will follow.
Truly.
- What did he say about Selena? Was he just being disrespectful about her being killed, or was he slamming her before that? Because Selena, beautiful though she was, wasn't much of a singer. She couldn't even begin to match the vocal prowess of her idol, Donna Summer. A better comparison might be Paula Abdul.
- yes he was disrespectful about her being killed and whether she was considered much of a singer is irrelevent, she did a lot for the Mexican community being one of the first Tejano singers to chart mainstream and this angered Linda because Linda's part Mexican.
- I think her dad died from bladder cancer. I read her biography a long time ago.
Joe
- she has a biography? WHY? She's a nobody?
- [quote] a grapefruit-sized growth on her bladder, which had awakened her the previous weekend, preventing her from urinating.
One hopes that it will be successfully removed, so that she can go back to sleep and urinate.
- She's just a jealous old cow.

- Robin celebrated her 60th birthday earlier this week. Here's a (horribly photoshopped) picture that Howard and Beth tweeted.

- I never understood the Beth appeal. She appears to be a bit....dim....

Do you know how to download these clips on ani pad? I have online desktop so I can get flash but when I try to download it says I'm not allowed. Tia
- Good God, how much work has Howard had done? It doesn't look anything like him, and I don't think that's from photoshopping...
- [quote]I never understood the Beth appeal. She appears to be a bit....dim....
Then you hear her speak and you realize it isn't merely appearance.
- R73=R71=R69=R66=R64=R59=R58=R57=R54=R50
I have never seen such dedication to trolling. *slow bitch-clap*
- Howie looks to be 25 years old between the photoshopping and surgery..
anon
- Yea he doesnt age
- I don't think they are ever going to get this bitch to come back to the studio now.
Benji
- she's still at home? I didn't realize.
- If Robin doesn't come back to work the studio, I wonder if this will be what finally influences Howard to not sign a new contract and bring his show to an end.
The do a pretty good job of carrying the show as usual, but it's gotta be a very different vibe with Robin not physically being there with them.
- I think he's made it pretty clear once this last contract is over that's it. I'm also curious about Robin, she is still not in the studio and they don't say anything about it.
- What could be going on that would keep her out this long? Chemo? Radiation?
- Model Patti Hansen, Keith Richards' wife, had bladder cancer many years ago. She gave a revealing interview to VOGUE a few years ago, she talked about keeping her illness out of the media at the time and why she chose to do so. She already had a low profile at the point, she was no longer modeling, no one was wondering what she was up to, so it was easy to hide
being very ill.
Patti said she now has a "bionic bladder", that her new bladder is probably better than her original one.
I guess the extent of Robin's tumor is the determining factor, whether or not the doctors can give her a new fake bladder. Did it spread beyond the bladder?
It can be done, a new bladder can be created, not everyone has to live with a urine bag the rest of their lives. A male relative had bladder cancer for over 25 years, he died from a heart attack in his late 70s, not from the cancer. He did have to go for yearly bladder scrapings.
- My Robin, sweet Robin.
- Why she go out at night to plays but not to work?
- It doesn't bother me if Robin is not in the studio - I don't notice any big difference in the quality or rhythm of the show now that she's not physically there.
- Her history with the much more common, benign fibroid tumors of the uterus have nothing to do with the more ominous development of a large bladder tumor. This is much less likely to be benign, but may still be curable if not spread around her body yet.

- On the Sept. 26th show a caller asks Howard to verify that Robin is still working from home and is that the 'new norm.' But they didn't go any further to explain what they mean by that. Is there any timeline for Robin physically coming back to the studio?
They say that's not the 'new norm,' whatever that means, but then Gary talks about how there is a conspiracy being discussed online about them covering up that Robin doesn't work in the studio anymore. They played a clip of Gary prepping a guest (maybe Eric the Midget/Actor?) with the reminder that Robin won't be in the studio when he goes out for his interview. Gary further asks the guest not to mention it during the interview because he says it 'slows the show down.'
So they do sort of try to keep up the illusion that Robin is there by asking guests not to mention it on air. That's why some listeners aren't aware of the situation and think that everything is cool with Robin's health now.
- Last week one of the callers asked Howard if the internet rumors are true that he's not going to renew his Sirius/XM contract when it comes up next. He answered no, but quickly brushed it off as he always does when it comes to topics like that.
But I really wonder if he's thinking about ending the show finally. According to him he hasn't told NBC whether he'll come back to America's Got Talent yet. If he gave up the 3-day weeks of radio, he could still do the 2-day weeks (and only 4 or 5 months) of AGT.
- Do any callers ever ask WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ROBIN'S HEALTH? As relentless an interviewer as Howard is, I'm surprised no one has taken him to task for his evasiveness on the issue.
- I was in the green room and I saw this pretty black woman in a purple skirt on the monitor. I didn't know who she was.
L. Ronstadt
- I like Robin, but sometimes I think she's oversteps.
Last week when everyone was back in the office and they all started arguing about how some people chose not to come in during the hurricane while others made it. Robin was ripping on the guys that stayed home right along with Howard. All the while I was thinking that maybe she should take a backseat to that argument since she doesn't have to leave her apartment to do the show.
Finally one of the guys said something to her about how she shouldn't be talking about coming in to the studio. Of course she didn't like that and yelled at him for being an asshole and bringing it up.
Again, I like her, but Robin sure can't take it as much as she dishes it.
- Robin probably has personality disorders, but I love her. She has a big heart.
- Has anyone else noticed that Howard has developed an old person lisp? Or maybe I just caught on off show.
- On 11/12 a caller asked Robin when she'll be back in studio. Her answer was in the vein of "when it happens, it happens/when the time is right", said in a slightly flippant, none-of-your-business tone.
- The answer to that question might be never, r99. If they have all agreed not to sign another contract when they come to the end of this current one, the set-up they have now might be how she finishes up. But of course they won't say anything just like Howard is always evasive about what he's going to to (including another season of AGT).
I don't know that's what going to happen, but I keep getting the feeling that Howard is finally going to bring the radio show to an end.
- he has 3 years left on his current contracts.
- Oooooooooooooo-phelia!
Herman%20Cain
- Is Robin still ill? Or doing the show from home rather than schlep into the studio anymore? Has this ever been addressed on the show?
- She continues to work from her home. They acknowledge it in passing but never give specifics as to why.
- Maybe it's chemo, and she needs to be quarantined because of it. Her father died from bladder cancer, which is what she may very well have. She sounds upbeat though, and I doubt Howard would have signed on for three more years if he thought Robin could die. He won't do the show without her.
- Could this have anything to do with her ayahuasca experience?
I say this because people go there thinking it's safe, but in reality more than a few have died taking the magic potion.
For one thing, you go out into the jungle, as a tourist, and are helpless to whatever the 'shaman' has put into the drink. There is no regulation of the substances, quantities of substances, or quality of material. Your shaman could just be a nutcase who puts poisons in the drink. Or someone who hates Americans or in Robin's case, hates black people. How would anyone know? All these dingbat tourists are sitting ducks and very naive to ingest something that they have no information about.
Basically, the magic potion is made up of three poisonous plants that induce terrible retching and diarrhea. Many die from dehydration alone. The shamans will blame these deaths on the weakness of the tourist, or claim that whites cannot face the truth of the potion.
It is very, very possible that Robin has done tremendous damage to her organs with the ayahuasca drink.
