I thought we should start a thread where we can begin to collect and discuss Mitt's history, lies, flip-flops and other assorted issues in one place as we did with John McCain in 2008.

• He had some ridiculous sissy-man tantrums under pressure as CEO at Bain. More recently he has had a few on the campaign trail. I do mean tantrums, not expressions of frustration over something understandably frustrating. Aides have not yet broken away to blab about it but things could change.

• Bain bought and Romney served on the board of a company called Damon. Bain sold it to Corning for $12 million, almost half a million of which went to Romney personally. Corning found that under Bain, much of Damon's revenue came from fraudulent billing of Medicare. It was the largest Medicare fraud case in Massachusetts history and it ended up causing Damon to go bankrupt. When it became an issue during his Governor campaign, Romney, unwilling to claim he knew nothing of improprieties when he was on the board, claimed he had blown the whistle on the frauds. The FBI and Corning both said it was a lie, that Corning uncovered the fraud. Obviously, since Romney could not have made a profit selling to Corning if he knew about it...or else if he's telling the truth, then he defrauded Corning. In the late 90s Bain bought a company called Dade International and immediately started looting it for fees. Mitt Romney himself came down to manage the operations, doing things like fining people in cash for being late for staff meetings, and the like. As is customary, Bain started making the company borrow money for acquisitions and improvements, and Bain then wanted to flip the company. But this time, Bain's partners said no, so Bain insisted they use the money they borrowed to improve operations to pay Bain off. That left the company with such a heavy debtload that it declared bankruptcy and the furious competitors accused bain in court of "Unjust enrichment." Once the debts were cancelled, the company went on to become highly valuable; but it was done with Bain stealing from a bunch of creditors.

• I am actually catholic but I had to go to a mormon blessing for a child. I have never seen anything quite like it. It is called a testament meeting where everything you may have accomplished in your life is all because of the belief you had in the lds religion. these people i saw speak were well spoken intelligent people. I realize religion is a major part of alot of peoples lives and are quite fanatical about it but come on. The other quote that rings out in my mind in these meetings is that the lds say "THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION"

• Romney got thrown out of Stanford for missing too many days, so in order for him to avoid the Vietnam draft, his Daddy had a missionary in France take him in so he would be out of the draft pool. Also, while in France, he was driving a car with the head missionary's wife in the front seat & he had a head on crash, killing the woman. There were some suspicious circumstances that were swept under the rug, by the Mormon church.
