• In the book Dropped Names by Frank Langella, he mentions about seeing Dominick two days before he died. It makes for fascinating reading to everyone that could never get enough of Dominick's Vanity Fair columns.

• Dunne was an old fug. Any date he had in the last 20 years would be paid for.

• Friends, perhaps, R19, but I doubt they were lovers. This was still the age of "trade" vs lovers for someone as closeted as DD. I doubt he actually had much gay sex in his life. For all his talents (and he was talented) and ambition (which was endless), I think DD had a really crappy, unhappy gay life.
