The Titanic didn't sink! The Olympic sunk!
JP Morgan swapped the almost identical ships, the Olympic and Titanic, out.
On the Olympic's maiden voyage, Captain Smith of the "titanic" wrecked the damn thing. So, they increased the insurance policy with Lloyds of London, swapped the ships out, and sailed the Olympic as the Titanic...KNOWING it was going down.
JP Morgan, who had the nicest suite in the ship canceled at the last moment, along with his bankster buddies. He claimed he was ill. He also took all his bronze shit that was supposed to be transferred to America off the ship. He wasn't sick at all.
The Californian set sail, totally empty except for a few sweaters and Captain Stanley Lord, who was supposed to rescue everyone. They set him up as the fall guy...and he was the ONLY one that shouldered the blame.

- And Dick Cheney was the iceberg!
It's the 9/11 of 1911!
- When two of the Titanic letters fell off the sunken vessel, the letters m and p could be seen, engraved underneath.
The only difference between the two ships were the number of port holes. The ship that went down had the same number of port holes as the Olympic, not the Titanic. Also, the ship that went down was clearly repaired.
- 1912, R1. And yes, it was like 9/11. I was always suspicious of the Titanic because of the creation of the Fed, one year later, but you can't just plant an iceberg. Now, it all makes perfect sense.
The fucking fire in the hole was a back-up plan, I guess.
- I just posted this in the Titanic Nazi thread.
- And the real Mona Lisa was on the ship, the one is Paris is a very good copy.
- I don't believe people would confuse a ship that had been at sea for months for a new, never-before-used ship.
- The Titanic is Olympic theory was around for years. The more sane version had that the switch was carried out early in construction - the cost of building two vessels at the same time put too much strain on White Stars' bottom line, so they slowed production on one vessel, to channel resources at the other.
Olympic was further ahead in construction, but they had already begun marketing Titanic. So before launch, it was quietly decided to launch Olympic as Titanic, thus sparing the company embarrasment and awkward explanations to shareholders.
As for the deliberate sinking - c'mon, no insurance payout would make up for the vast PR debacle that would follow.
- You obviously didn't watch the documentary, R7.
They also carpeted the Olympic's floor to hide the wear and tear.
-
It's the 9/11 of 1911!
The theory that 9/11 was an inside job has a mountain of evidence to support it.
- ^ lol. Mountain = Marianas Trench.
- Has there been on historical event that wasn't a result of a conspiracy?
- Everyone knows Obama introduced the Titanic and sung its praises at a rally back in his elitist Harvard days.
- R5, the one in the Louvre is a notoriously bad copy. Anyone with any sense can see immediately it is a fake.
My great-grandmother's second husband worked for the insurers, and she swore that when he was killed in a rail accident in Wales in 1913 it was because he had been returning from a trip to Northern Ireland collecting information concerning issues with the ships' (plural, note) construction. Supposedly he "fell" from a door that came open. When they found his body at the bottom of a gorge his head was bashed in but there were pieces of lead in his cranial cavity, not bits of stone like you'd expect. And then the company paid her a huge "insurance policy" payment on a policy she said he never told her about. They urged her to move to America, "because you want your children to grow up safe with fresh air," which she did.
- Our George on GMA today said a poll revealed more than 50% of people under 30 think the film was fiction.
- The film [italic]was[/italic] fiction, r14.
- How did anyone "know" it was going to sink? Did they go looking for an iceberg to plow into?
- There were three ships: Olympic, Titanic, and Britannic. The last was the biggest.
If, according to the theory, the Titanic wasn't ready and the Olympic had to stand in for the Titanic, then how did the Titanic-now called Olympic get to sea so fast? She was out there operating within weeks of the sinking.
- r15, the ship didn't hit an iceberg and sank?
- Wait, there's a Titanic Nazi thread? I've heard of Zombie Nazis and Alien Nazis.
- Meth: Its what's for breakfast!
- So the question is...if this happened, why did Lloyd's let them get away with it?
- Lloyd's says it only paid $3 million on the Titanic. Where is the discrepancy between $3 million and $10 million in the paper and $12 million in the film?
http://www.trivia-library.com/a/weird-insurance-policy-lloyds-of-london-bank.htm
- Seriously, R5?
- So even if suspend disbelief for a moment. It was a whole conspiracy theory. How the hell did the iceberg become involved?
- They key elements of the theory:
1) the Titanic had to be insurable for far more than the Olympic, otherwise just sink the Olympic;
2) the owners had to be confident of their success if they were to spend good money on carpet and other fittings to make Titanic unrecognizable to Olympic passengers, all of which would be lost.
3) They had to believe that Lloyd's and the British government would back them up so somebody in both organizations had to be in on it.
4) Captain Lord had to be in on it and STAY QUIET even after all the blame was heaped on him.
- From the NY TIMES, R22.
TITANIC INSURANCE CLAIMS QUICKLY MET; Little Red Tape In Collecting Policies Estimated at $12,000,000.
Although the sinking of the Titanic involved the largest total loss the marine underwriters have ever had to meet from a single disaster, at the close of the week practically all of the policies written had been met. Proof of loss was obtainable as soon as the surviving officers reached New York, and since then collection has been merely a matter of routine.

- Maybe it didn't. Maybe they just got into position and opened the sea cocks.
-
So even if suspend disbelief for a moment. It was a whole conspiracy theory. How the hell did the iceberg become involved?
Um, Hello? IceBERG?
Don't you know all conspiracies involve Jews?
-
There were three ships: Olympic, Titanic, and Britannic. The last was the biggest.
Britannic was to originally have been called Gigantic.
But she sank too, during WWI off the coast of Greece.
- I had heard the Brittanic was to be renamed the Tragic in order to capitalize on the sinking of the Titanic. This would have used up the spare steel letters that would be unused by the suncken Titanic and only required the making of a few extra steel G's.
White Star was wary of squandering steel letters of the alphabet. It's an old sea tradition not to waste steel letters.
-
How the hell did the iceberg become involved?
They used the same repositioning company that was used to move the Sun for Zac Efron's balcony photos. It only took two tugs to move the iceberg, much more equipment was involved to move the Sun as it shone down on that hotel in Australia.
- They could've known the location of the iceberg prior to the ship's departure. Maybe the fire that smouldered for a week prior was the back-up plan.
As for Captain Lord, I'm sure he was in on it; however, he did not know he was going to be scapegoated, or that people would die. He really thought he was going to rescue these folk, but tptb had other plans. Remember, he tried to open up the inquiry up until his death in 1962 with no luck.
The power elite always have several agendas going at once.
- The whole story is bullshit.
- But the Olympic was also at sea when the Titanic sank. She was too far from the sinking to come to join the rescue and it was felt that it would be better for the survivors not to be confronted with a near replica of the ship they had just escaped.
- All I know is that none of that shit would have happened if Belle Rosen was on board.
- What R34? Do you have a point?
- I love you, R27.
-- Mrs. Danvers
- This was on Fox News.
- Actually the Olympic was turned into a hospital ship and sank in the Med Sea. I will have to go look up what happened to Brittanic. Something horrible I suppose.
- OK, this is a very interesting thread but I'm confused. Please, someone help me understand this. Please don't make me watch all those videos.
This is what I THINK the theory is: JP Morgan wanted to sink a ship to get insurance money from it. So, he arranged for the real Titanic to be swapped with the Olympic because it was not seaworthy.
He arranged for the sinking to be blamed on a fire somewhere on the ship. Or he arranged for someone to blame an iceberg. He also made sure that the lone rescuer wouldn't be able to rescue people so as to increase his insurance payout or the eliminate witnesses.
Do I have this right?
- Pretty much R40.
- Who came up with this cockamamie theory?
- There are few things more fascinating-or likely to be true-than conspiracy theories. Please DataLounge keep them coming. Stories like this and the Playgirl history topics: "Centerfolds/Models Then & Now", "True Life Experiences" appearing in those magazines or knowing someone who did (love those stories), make this a site worth reading.
I don't mind using my real name. I'm not the "Anonymous-type" I like what I like.

- I heard a report on the radio that scientists said the moon's gravity had an effect on a huge iceberg to shift in the direction of the ship's route. They said they were aware of the iceberg near by in that region so they took a route which the staff knew it was all ways clear of any icebergs. Unfortunately there was that strange and freaky ecological incident which obviously none expected.
http://www.zmescience.com/other/titanic-moon-iceberg-06032012/
- Here is another article claiming that scientists believe the moon's gravity play the key role for the iceberg to shift.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46642918/ns/technology_and_science-space/t/did-moon-sink-titanic-tides-may-have-played-role/%23.T4aW_dnh5I4
- OP, I'm sorry but every single incident in history, everyone ties it to a conspiracy verses it was what it was. I believe somethings were connected with conspiracies but not all. I'm sorry ,but I just think that theory of Titanic is BS.
- Ron Klopfanstein sounds like a made up name.
- What difference would it make? They were twin ships built at the same time.
Why are people so hungry for massive, conspiratorial deception?
- No R40, the California was supposed to rescue everybody but Titanic's navigation officer had their position wrong.
- Weren't all the wealthy guys who died opposed to the Federal Reserve and their deaths cleared the way for its creation?
- A lot of people still don't realize that Captain Smith and most of the crew were Martians. It's a proven fact! JP Morgan saved the world when he sank the evil ship.
John%20Travolta
- Yes, R50...biggest one bring John Jacob Astor
- identicle ships same blueprints different amount portholes.........? not identicle then
- You mean identical, R53?
- If you like "Disaster Porn" you will enjoy reading about the crash of the British airship, the R101, which killed 48 people who were making a foolish attempt to fly to Pakistan in a poorly-designed and highly experimental blimp.

- So many funny replies! Love this thread - keep 'em coming guys!!
Also love how the system has converted the airship "R 101" into R101 - lol!
But yeah - what a silly fucking theory!
Does anyone think that none of the low-wage workers - hundreds of them! - who would have had to have been involved in making the deception work by re-painting, re-carpeting, re-carpenter-ing (the verandah cafe or something like that was different on the two ships) - and even switching the letters of the names around! - wouldn't have blabbed to the press after the event? They couldn't possibly have afforded to pay them all off - and even if they tried - most of them were good, church-going Christians who would have had am abhorrence of such a cynical and wicked plot and the great loss of life as a result...unless...
OMG! White star packed them all off on a 'vacation' to America in steerage! They disposed of all the witnesses!!
Evil bastards! But dashed cunning of them you have to admit...
(ps: the whole third sister ship being named originally "gigantic" was never ever proved. Shipping company always denied it. But it's a great story - and as we've just seen - they were capable of anything)
- How naive you are R58.
There was no internet. If the Belfast newspaper didn't cop to it, there was no place for these people to leak their story.
- The Promenade Deck on the Titanic's B Deck had glass windows....the same deck on the Olympic was open.
They were not identical.
Where do people get the time to come up with these crazy theories?
T.%20Andrews
- Poor R58...not the brightest of bulbs.
Low wage workers are merely cogs in a big machine. "Information poverty" is built into the industrial revolution-inspired work fragmentation system, as well as our educational system. They do not want the unwashed masses to see the whole picture, put the puzzle together.
You see, all of those people just do what they're told: "Carpet the floor."
Not, "Carpet the floor because we're going to swap out the ships and sink this one to the bottom of the ocean to collect on the insurance and drown John Jacob Astor because he's protesting the creation of the Fed."
Now, if by chance they do...well, they're killed.
- R43, Ron KLOPfanstein, please do us a favor, go back in the closet...if that's even possible.
- The Fed was four years away when the Titanic went down. Stop including it.
- R61 is just plain dumb - as well as being patronizing.
Yeah - the poor proles who did maintenance of the ships were paid very little - but they weren't all stupid troglodytes. And they all worked for the shipyards and built a community around the yard and its activities. They knew qnd took pride in the ships they worked on. If you really don't think that many of them wouldn't have questioned the grand charade behind this stoopid theory - and discussed it with their peers - then you don't know human nature.
And sure - maybe they couldn't have got the press interested in these goings on before the sinking - but afterwards? There would have been any number of journalists sniffing around for an interesting angle - and dozens - if not hundreds! - of shipyard workers would have had no reason to cover up what they had done before the ship sailed...
Even if no one had been prepared to report on the story told to then by shipyard workers at the time - some of them would have kept diaries - and many would have told other members of their families as well - many of whom would have also worked in the yards. And their kids did as well. Yet nothing has been found or alluded to.
There are just too many people involved. It's a silly theory.
- Who would they tell R64? They had nobody to go to with this story. There was no internet.
- But Rose said you could still smell the new paint. Was she lying?
- My building was built in 1910 and they paint it every time a tenant moves out.
- As I understand it, the mother of Harry Thaw arranged the whole thing to kill off her son's hated wife Evelyn Nesbit ... but trustees of the Sandford White estate convinced to her skip passage and have tea with Gertrude Lawrence.

- The wreck clearly proves that the ship at the bottom of the sea is the Titanic with 401 on every piece of mettle, her mark, not the Olympic. Repairs to the Olympic that were done while she was in the Titanic's cradle in the builders yard were not made to the Titanic and made her different from her sister ship. One example was the removal of portholes to allow for extra toilets to be added. This was a noted change to the Olympic and was on all her pictures at the time and afterwards. The difficulty in swapping the two ships would have been immense and many of the workers would have known they were working on the Titanic and not the Olympic. The accident took the lives of 1500 people: those who staged it would have been horrified and given up the truth. The iceberg was the only thing that she could have struck in the middle of the cold Atlantic ocean at the point that she was sailing. No other object was anywhere near her or under her and any wreck would be two miles down. The science and the evidence from the wreck site prove it was Titanic and that she was hit by an iceberg.
One comment to the idiots going on about 9/11: there is no evidence it was a government conspiracy to murder over 3000 people. To claim it was is disrespectful to the people who died. Two planes flew into the twin towers and that is a fact!
BanditQueen
- They would have known R64, they just wouldn't have had anyway to let the world know.
R69 9/11 and the Titanic have nothing to do with each other. However, in future, if you want to persuade people, do not use the word "clearly" in exaggerating or faking evidence. It's a dead giveaway.
As for 9/11 there is overwhelming evidence it was a government conspiracy, namely the complete absence of defensive measures.
-
there is no evidence it was a government conspiracy to murder over 3000 people. To claim it was is disrespectful to the people who died.
There is plenty of evidence to call the official account into question. To demand the truth is to honor the memory of those who died.
- Titanic stans are just as loopy and dumb as Trekkies.
- This is rather like saying that the plays of Shakespeare weren't written by Shakespeare but by another person with the same name.
- If this is true, Celine Dion is gonna be pissed
- Don't worry, R74. Her heart will go on.
- The Titanic did sink! It is proven because from the largest piece from the titanic has a extra port hole to the Olympic! It was there because the titanic had a extra toilet. Thank you Toilet! You have proven the guy who owns this web site wrong... by one port hole.

- Interesting thread bump.
- Ding ding ding at R50, we have a winner!
Benjamin Guggenheim, Isa Strauss, and Jacob Astor.
- I was at another site recently and saw this topic being discussed. Anyway, the thread had about a half dozen links, all from difference sources which had been pulled or disabled. Very odd that all of them from different sources where gone from a recent thread. It seems as if someone had seen the thread and had the links posted on it pulled/disabled. The common denominator was that thread.
There is a lot more to the Titanic story than most people know about, it wasn't just about a spectacular disaster.
- much of the wreck that lays on the bottom of the ocean shows identification numbers on the boilers, capstans, propellers, winches etc that were associated with the Titanic.
R7 Olympic was launched and already in service before Titanic
- Here are some images that have been making the rounds on the internet. From the side of the sunken ship, it looks like you can see the letters 'M' and 'P' next to each other, as in olyMPic. Here is 1:

- My goodness, the loons are out in force today. Is the moon full?
- Only if you pull down your pants, R85.
- It is well known that Lenin was supposed to be on the Titanic to drum up financial support in America for the revolution. He received word through the Rothschilds that the Vatican was plotting to take the ship down, as the Olympic, which was the prototype and notoriously ineptly built, had been switched with the Titanic to permit the conspiracy group to start pulling the faulty rivets once the expected sighting a distant floes was done. The berg never came close. The small bump was a manipulation by a conspirator on the crew, an Irish Cstholic priest who had infiltrated the staff. But Lenin, who was to travel incognito, stayed in Paris. The robber barons cleaned up as their part of the plot, and the rest is history. No one knew Lenin wasn't there - in fact, there was one second-class passenger who purposely pretended to be hiding his identity and he looked like Lenin.
- This would make a more interesting movie than James Cameron's corny love story.
- R87, I just don't buy the stuff about the Vatican, and I'm no fan of the Vatican. Or the Irish Catholic priest thing.
But there may be a tie to the FR and the Revolution.

- You're just naive, R89. And the Vatican was just playing middle-man, anyway.
- This to be seems very realistic. I really want to watch the video on Youtube that explains all this.
