Sean Avery: When is he coming out, at least as bisexual?
Saw him on last week's Watch What Happens Live, and he continues to ping to high heaven.
No completely straight man can call women's shoes "pumps" with such aplomb and casualness.
He did say he'd swim in the man pond with Brad Pitt, but I think that's a general go-to answer "straight" guys use when asked that question.
Totally agree - or else , he's patronizing gays, just to sell his brand - if thats true... F him !
He did an internship at Vogue. Of course he's gay.
I honestly don't know a straight man with his interest in fashion. It does not compute. Oh, and now he is modeling for J.Crew and not looking good. Stay with the scruff Sean.
Tim Tebow, who I think is freaking gorgeous, gave his expected "Song and Dance for Jesus" bit at his presser today. Christ, is he a big beefy sexy guy. He seems quite gay too. Nothing new under the sun, eh? I imagine he will become quite bonkers as he gets older and the truth starts to demand equal time.
That he is!!
I don't know when that pic at r5 was taken but I doubt he'd appear in them now.
I don't know whether he's gay or not, but this "evidence" is akin to claiming that allegedly gay men must be straight if they enjoy playing basketball or working on cars.
Who is he?
A gay person who plays basketball or likes to work on cars is called a lesbian.
He dated Elisha Cuthbert for awhile but apparently he was a verbally abusive prick and she left him for another NHL player (she's a puck bunny).
He did do an internship at Vogue. He makes no bones about the fact that he's fascinated with the fashion industry.
I wonder if he gets ribbed in the locker room.
He also always seems like he's taken 30 Darvocets before he appears on WWHL. He utters pithy comments as if in a narcotic haze. Of course this is in contrast to Andy Cohen who delivers every utterance with the uncensored exuberance of a thirteen year old girl at her first Bieber concert. The difference is style is glaring. Also Sean doesn't wear socks with oxfords which just isn't right. Loafers..topsiders..yes but not dress showes. Oy!
I get the impression he is gay but he never came out while playing simply because he's the typical cowardly proffesional athlete. However, now that he's retired, he'll probably come out. I also think he used gays to get his name out-there, ala Dennis Rodman. Rodman is most def. downlow. I think most of Rodman's drug and drinking problems were the root of this.
If R1 is right, than F-him.
Aside from that, what is up with the no-socks while wearing loafers? That's gross. If those are leather, I can only imagine how terrible those smell after he takes them off at night.
Is Elisha Cuthbert the one who was engaged or whatever to timberlake's husband Trace Alvarez?
You do all understand that there are straight men working in fashion (Ralph Lauren, John Varvatos) and in fashion publishing (many senior editors at GQ, Details)?
While gay men are welcome and well represented in these fields, it's not the Gay Mafia some of you believe.
Nobody said anything about Gay Mafia, angry queen at R18.
He dated Rachel Hunter but she broke up with him because she said the relationship was "going nowhere".
R18 was responding to R3, R19.
The point R18 is making is still correct.
A higher percentage of men in the fashion industry are gay but there are still plenty of straight guys who spend their lives immersed in the world of fashion (or interior design, musical theater, art).
I've said this before on this board but some of you seem to live in very backwords flyover land to assume that all straight men are meatheads who must only care about sports and cars.
Okay, Sean Avery's is 100% straight regardless of his interest in fashion.
Regardless of his interest in cock.
Straight men like cock too, R24.
Gay guys are the biggest adherents and perpetrators of archaic stereotypes about what it means to be bisexual or gay. Such small minds that rely on tired stereotypes.
I look forward to the next chapter in his life.
So, what's the verdict on this guy. Didn't he hook up with guys on the DL? I read this here and somewhere else a few years back. I think it was Perez. I buy the downlow stories.
Has he come out yet? He's been reitired now for a month.
He is still 100 percent heterosexual. Move on, dude.

For some reason I thought this was about James Avery, I was going to say he's already as out as anyone should expect him to get.
His feeble attempt on Project Runway to say a girl would turn his head then ask Isaac if he would too was overtly gay ... Turn his head because he's so into fashion...
I think Sean's still playing hockey and not truly retired, hence that's why he still hasn't come out. But, wow, he's Richard Simmons gay. He doesn't even need to come out really.
R18 is a delusional housefrau in denial. Gay men are "welcome" and "well represented" in fashion. Bitch, please. Maybe in Podunk, Nebraska gay men are just another token group, but where it matters (NYC, LA), gay men absolutely RUN fashion and other creative fields. They are a definite MAJORITY.
Another shocker: straight men, proportionally, do not NEARLY have the creativity or vision that gay men do.
Sean was on Fashion Police on Friday. It was the first time I saw him speak. I think he's gay. He seemed to sink in the way a closeted gay man would so not to appear gay.
He spoke out in favor of gay marriage in 2012, just before it became legal in NY State, then retired from professional hockey (afraid of what his teammates might say or do to him in the locker room?)
He's been Andy Cohen's bf for just over a year.
He'll be officially OUT any moment now...
He doesn't ping for me. He's into fashion, but otherwise his personality is pure neanderthal straight guy.
Well, who ever he is, he's not particularly attractive. Dough face.
No he isn't "cute", but he is sexy, he's ruggedly handsome.
[quote]Aside from that, what is up with the no-socks while wearing loafers? That's gross. If those are leather, I can only imagine how terrible those smell after he takes them off at night.
Mmmm, I bet they smell AMAZING. I fucking love it. Think it looks hot, and smells even better.
[quote]No he isn't "cute", but he is sexy, he's ruggedly handsome.
No, not really R53.
I never use this expression, but he did ping for me on Fashion Police this week. But really that means nothing.
He is such a womanizer, I find it hard to believe he's gay. Remember, Dennis Rodman did drag. Some guys don't give a shit, and are comfortable with their feminine side. Sean also does shit for attention.
He dated Elisha Cuthberr which made me suspicious because she likes women
When Cuthbert started dating some other hockey player, Avery referred to her as "sloppy seconds" very publicly. I think he actually got suspended by the NHL. That sounds like straight guy behavior.
r57, you ever heard of something called "bisexual?"
just because he likes fashion, doesn't mean he likes cock. straight. (and kind of a douche)
I saw him on Fashion Police last week. They showed a clip of him making out with some guy for a...video project...I think? Can't quite remember. But, in one part he made out with the guy and in another part he made out with a girl. If he isn't gay or bisexual, he's more comfortable with homosexuality than most straight men I know.
That clip was a video (directed by well-known bisexual James Franco) for an ad campaign that Sean did for the designer 7 For All Mankind. In the video, he did indeed kiss both a man and a woman.
I'd like to see any other professional hockey player feel comfortable enough to do that.
