Actress Gemma McLuskie's brother charged with her murder after headless body found floating

Brother with missing poster (I think it's odd that he has a picture of her missing head BTW) The brother of former EastEnders actor Gemma McCluskie, whose headless torso was found dumped in a canal, has been charged with her murder. Tony McCluskie, 35, of Hackney, has been charged with his sister's murder after her remains were found floating in Regent's canal in East London on Tuesday. Detectives believe she was killed after attending the opening of the Royal London hospital in nearby Whitechapel. The 29-year-old's disappearance was reported to police two days after she went missing. Her torso was found close to Broadway Market in Hackney after being spotted by a member of the public. The discovery came after officers had expressed concern for McCluskie's welfare and searches were organised by her cousins Kyri Sambridge and Nikki Tsindides, with missing person posters put up across London's East End. Friends handed out leaflets and McCluskie's former EastEnders co-stars Natalie Cassidy and Brooke Kinsella appealed on Twitter for help in finding her.

• Wow, how sad. I was watching one of those cop docu shows at the gym tonight. About a husband who murdered his wife. They're always about a man killing a woman, aren't they? And then they show footage of the guy sitting in the interrogation room, twitching nervously or lying through his teeth about how he got scratches on his arms and face. Anyway, while watching the show, I was just thinking about how terrible it must be to be a victim of a violent crime like this. What must it be like to know you're about to die at the hands of a family member or someone you love? Like, did the brother beat her first and did she know he was going to behead her and if so, what did she think or feel while it was happening? It is the worst imaginable pain and fear? I just don't understand how a person can kill another human being in cold blood.
