Most (not all) gay porn stars are fucked-up people. They're often from poorer backgrounds, and so they often had to go into the military, which is why they have great bodies. They often are from homes where they were sexually abused, which is why they're in porn in the first place (deep down they think the way they can only be loved is if lots of people objectify them).

This is not true for all of them--some of them are from well-to-do backgrounds (like Tag Eriksson), and some of them are highly educated (like Conner Habib), but they're exceptions. Most of them are not from happy homes, and truth to tell are not that bright.

Zak Spears seems to be another exception. He works as a personal trainer and used to be a bartender at Faultline or Eagle (can't remember which one, or if he still does that or not). Appears to be a decent, normal guy who has his shit together.

I love watching porn. However, for the most part, those who do it as a line of work indicates some messed up or unresolved issues in your life. It could be for any number of reasons: low self-esteem, fast-money but not enduring money for the most part, drugs, inability to think about your future, exhibitionism, humiliation, loves sex, doesn't give a shit or simply likes this line of work. Some go into porn with a clear head, but probably not many. And very few leave a life of porn unscathed if they pursue it as a career.

Corbin Fisher promises to give their exclusives enough work in front of the camera to make their troubles worthwhile, but none of them clear more than $25,000 on porn alone. As a unofficial compromise, they have to have high school diplomas so they're qualified to work behind the scenes doing menial jobs/supplement their porn income.
