What do we know about Jesse Spencer? (House)

That he's a terrible actor for one, how he of all people from Neighbours made it is always bizarre. Straight? lol. There were rumours of him being pounded in this porn or sex tape.

Hey may be a terrible actor with absolutely zero charisma, but he is NOT...what was the other thing?

I remember when he was on a soap in Australia called NEIGHBOURS there was a whispering campaign in the industry that he was gay and he felt compelled to issue a public denial. It's widely believed that it all probably started from an actor on another soap named HOME & AWAY.

He was roommates with James McAvoy when he was in London. Cool for Jesse, but not for James! I was shocked James was stuck with Billy from Neighbours.

In his defense, his role in House never gave him the chance to even try to act, really. It's sort of like the Foreman character, you can't tell anything based on that. I haven't watched that show in a year or so, but I know it got to the point where he would just pop up doing some operation now and then.

I know he was engaged to the woman who played Dr. Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) on House and then they ended up calling it off.

Much sexier when he had longer hair. Now just a generic, albeit stunningly, handsome guy..

Perez in his pre-sanitised days tried to out him/hinted at it. He had a lot of Leo Dicaprio comparisons (sadly only looks wise). I'm out of Jesse Spencer trivia now.

Last week's program had some shots of Jessie in bed recovering that were just gorgeous. I tried to capture a few even, then decided it was silly - like I need more pictures of men whom I perhaps will never have.

Jesse Spencer has very emphatically said he doesn't agree with his parents' political views. He's spent his entire adulthood in either the UK or the US and he's explicitly said he's a progressive/liberal.

He's very close to Hugh Laurie. I'm not implying they're hooking up, I'm just saying it's obvious they're close and that Jesse admires him a lot. He's a very accomplished violinist, and plays with Hugh's Band From TV. I've seen them live, and Jesse did a killer rendition of "Devil Went Down to Georgia."

The only other gossip I know is that he was rumored to have taken the breakup with Jennifer Morrison very hard and was a drunk mess for a while. I agree that he's a mediocre actor at best.

I dunno, I saw the last episode and thought the short haired look was hot. He also had a slight beard that complimented the look. I even commented to my partner that he will get offers for the lead in an upcoming series and finally will be the star that House wouldn't allow him to be.

r20, I believe they disbanded after about twenty years due to lack of support which indicates better things about racism in Australia than I would have guessed. He refuses to answer any direct questions about it so there's not much way to know how much racism rubbed up off on him. There was a blind item, believed to him, about a racist actor whose fiancee broke up with him after one too many outburst on the topic.

Australians are shallow racists. While they're not always culturally sensitive and certainly not afraid to comment, call attention to or even joke about someone's ethnicity, there isn't as much deep-seated hostility to multiculturalism as many outsiders (or even local politicians) seem to think.

R29, it was weird how his character disappeared and even weirder how Jennifer Morrison's character was treated. It's not that I had any real attachment to either of their characters, but it was just simply odd to watch as a viewer. It also left me wondering what the rationale was for moving their characters into the background, it's not as if the replacement characters were so beloved by fans (to say the least).

Am I the only one who doesn't think Jesse pings? He just seems like a boring, although attractive, straight guy to me. I remember hearing about this "sex tape" before but no one seems to ever have any details on it. To me it sounds like something that got started like five years ago by one person and never went away.

I get the feeling, from interviews with David Shore et al at the time, that they politely tolerated the off screen romance. I remember that David Shore actually ramped up their on-screen romance after they broke up and Jesse was taking it so hard, etc. And when someone asked him if that was awkward, his answer was a weirdly cheerful, "Oh, well! They're professionals!"

David Shore is a clueless asshole anyway, but still, it was weird.

Even weirder is that the storyline went absolutely nowhere. I also remember reading about how Jesse took the break-off of the engagement much harder than Jennifer did.

R38, hard for me to imagine Jesse carrying a series of his own, but it would be nice to see him in a role that at least allows him to act a bit. If he fails in that, I'm happy to write him off as an actor, but I don't think his role on House has given him many opportunities to act, really.

NEIGHBOURS star Jesse Spencer has become the victim of a gay sex smear campaign. A bootleg video falsely claims to show the 19-year-old heart- throb taking part in a gay sex show filmed at a luxury Melbourne hotel after an Australian TV awards ceremony earlier this year.

But Jesse, who plays Billy Kennedy in the hit BBC1 soap opera, says it is not him.

Copies of the tape, which features a man resembling Jesse and another man known only as Adrian, are being sold on the black market.

Anonymous letters, faxes and e-mails - believed to be motivated by political opposition to Jesse's parents because they support Australia's far-right One Nation party - are spreading the allegations.

Jesse's mum Robyn, who leads the local One Nation group and is notorious for her anti-Asian and pro-gun views, said: "These people sent letters to us but I threw them out. They were about something that was supposed to have happened after the TV awards ceremony.

"But Jesse came straight home with his girlfriend that night. We will sue the pants off anyone who says this video is real."

Jesse's partner at the time was fellow Neighbours star Brooke Satchwell, who told friends she was with him all night when the video was alleged to have been made. Police are investigating the allegations.
