• I'm sorry, but why would his mother justify his giving her money simply because she has a vagina? Would this stoy have recieved any attention had it been his estranged father? • As much as I loath him as an actor, remember that he's been doing standup for years and packs in crowds. He's able to command crowds at his stand-up events which rival those of Chris Rock's. Also, he's been in movies and on 30 Rock for years. That quoted worth of his also likely takes into account his property which is always a matter of public record. $18 million isn't all that much in the sense of being an actor in their prime. His main home alone is likely worth $5 million or so. Plus, they're likely also figuring in the money left on his 30 Rock contract, money he doesn't necessarily have, yet.

• I mentioned this in the SNL thread and got attacked. Yes, I think he IS worth $18 million for exactly the reasons others have stated here, good investments mostly. I also don't think he's as stupid as he wants the public to believe, it's just his schtick. • R3, you have o idea how much money people make on network TV and in residuals for syndication. And Tracy Morgan has done movies. He does voiceovers which pay beaucoup bucks, and has appeared in films as an actor. Morgan also does standup comedy which pays A LOT of money. Trust me, if it didn't you wouldn't see Bill Maher, who is totally full of himself, doing standup ll over the country. I have a friend who is a radio host in a third tier market and he makes $325,000 a year and that is after he took a pay cut because radio is basically dying. It's a 4 hour a day gig.

• The NY Post says he hasn't spoken to his mother in 11 years and to his sister only a few times since then. Morgan's no pearl but it sounds like something terrible happened among them.He's handled this situation badly: he mentions his family in his book, so they feel he's used them, and technically they're right. If he gives his mother the $25K she and the sister will probably be back for more.

• In its five seasons, 30 Rock has been #102, #94, #69, #86 and #106. The producers have to paying NBC to stay on the air. The cast must be working for livestock, bags of grain or sexual favors.

• He was just on Howard Stern, and he said she didn't do anything wrong to him as a child. In fact, she was often in the audience on SNL, and she was in a few skits. I believe I heard that she hasn't seen his kids, but don't hold me to it. It appeared he was closer to his father, who died when he was around 18/19. Howard tried to figured out the crazy in Tracy's head, but he couldn't get to it. I think it's pure selfishness, remember he took his long term girlfriend's kidney, dumped her, and got another girlfriend.

In fact, she made news because her home might be foreclosed upon, and she has a famous son. You would think Tracy would be smart and pay the 25K to quiet this story. He could never tell Howard the reason why he hadn't seen his mother other than they haven't been in touch. He did throw it back on his mother saying she hasn't seen her grandkids. Other than that, he acted completed unaware of the reason. Howard asked did he moved. Tracy said he still lives in New York, implying that his mother moved. All I was thinking was that he may live in NY, but it's definitely not the same neighborhood. Plus, by Tracy's own admission, he's on the road a lot, which I'm sure makes him quite assessable to her. That's if she still has his number.
