#McDStories: McDonalds Failed Twitter Hashtag Promotion
Don't know if this has been done here yet but was just reading about this and the sample tweets were so hilarious, I nearly pissed myself laughing like I haven't done on Datalounge in years.
McDonald's is so stupid.

- that's funny.
- Hilarious. I think I'll have a Big Mac for lunch.
- . bump
- They McFucked themselves.
- For some reason the actual tweets don't appear for me in that story, including the original one from McDonalds.
- Are you on a phone? If so, scroll down and click to see the full site.
It's still a difficult site on a phone due to banner ads that won't go away.
- Meh. Now take the PS3 master key re-tweet. That was epic.
- Some Tweet from them kept coming up in my Twitter and Facebook feeds, posted by other people:
"What's your favorite thing to order from the Dollar Menu?"
After the fifth or so time I answered:
"My favorite thing to order from the Dollar Menu is DIABETES."
- Big mistake. They shouldn't have tried something like this when they know that they have some very vocal detractors.
- I only see four tweets. Are there more?
This reminds me of the Bush Cheney campaign in 2004 put "Create your own campaign slogan and put it on a sign" section of their webpage. Mistake. Not only this, but it took them a while to catch on to what was happening and there were dozens of slogans skewering Bush et al. Some were brilliant. They might still be out there somewhere.
- They're lame, OP. Not funny.
